Won't free up much. We're paying/giving him $450k per year, someone might give him $300k and we'll stump up the rest.

300k is better than nothing, especially when you're courting Rockliff and Motlop.

300k is approx average wage isnt it?

"There's enough interest there to hopefully get something done for him and he just wants a new start, and show he can still play at the highest level," Lobbe's manager Michael Doughty told NAB AFL Trade Radio on Wednesday.

There has already been interest in the Victorian.

"A couple of northern clubs have shown some reasonable interest, so we're just working through that at the moment. I've had some phone calls in the last couple of days from a few other clubs, so there's enough to say that we can hopefully get something done for him," Doughty said.

Oh yeah those Northern clubs?

Palmerston maybe ;)

NATHAN KRAKOUER has retired from AFL football, after spending the last three seasons on the Power's list.

Krakouer started his career with Port Adelaide after being selected in the 2006 AFL Draft with pick 39.

He left the club at the end of 2010 to join Gold Coast, and then left the competition completely after the 2011 season, returning to Alberton in 2014 via the SANFL and then joining the club's AFL list between 2015 and 2017.

He played in the club's 2014 SANFL Grand Final tilt as a contracted SANFL player, but missed its last appearance against Sturt through injury.

He becomes the Power's first list change ahead of the upcoming free agency and trade period.

“Nathan has played some outstanding football for the club," Port's list manager Jason Cripps told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“Despite limited opportunity at AFL level this season both men played significant roles as experienced players with the Magpies.

“Despite limited opportunity at AFL level this season Nathan played a significant role as an experienced player helping the Magpies win through to the SANFL Grand Final.”

The trade and free agency period that commences on Friday.

Matty Agius has made a blue there. Had to re-read the article a couple of times to see if Monfries name was mentioned. Looks like Gus's retirement may be about to be announced as well

Speaking of trade, I was looking on ebay the other day and noticed someone was trying to sell a 6 pack of West End Draught 2004 Premiership cans for $400.

I bought a carton at the same time and still have it, not sure whether it's worth holding on to and then the wife and I were having a debate on whether it would decrease or increase in value should Port win another flag?
