Cold beer.
Good service.
Conversation if I want. None if I don't.
Occasionally, my missus and kids to be able to enjoy a meal there with me.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Presumably your research statement includes a large component for field research, i.e. trips to the pub.

Even better if you can secure a research grant for the purpose. 8)

Salted beer nuts and some beef jerky doesn't go astray either whilst indulging in a few.

Beer specials. I'm not fussy so a $6 pint will win me in most situations. When did beer become dearer than spirits?

I look forward to Booney's findings appearing in a beer-reviewed journal.

On Sundays at my local many years ago, we had an 8 ball contest that paid $50 to the winner.

$50 was good money back then. (over 20 years ago).

Looked forward to Sunday.

Now I live in a different area and time.

Pokies have taken over everything.

The pub bought us Tee shirts to represent them on an inter-pub competition and supplied a meal for all players.

Tuesday nights.

Anyone remember those days?

Go Shandon Pub and all the guys. The Links now....

No option for "Roughly once a month for lunch or dinner with old school mates somewhere with plentiful free parking".
We had been using the Buck, but the food and service is going down wile the prices are going up.

Attendance has increased lately as a few of us have been scouting for another venue in the same general area.
