2 games...WTF?

No u18 games at all this weekend.

Maybe the SANFL should just go into recess for a month?

At least there's not many byes, just lots of split rounds so C7 can telecast less games.

Crows have a bye in the AFL- nice opportunity to schedule 5 games missed.

South Ins: Fields, J. Taylor, Newell
Out: Heaslip

Fields a welcome return. Newell has been playing well in the twos and we could do with his size around the ball. Dont know much about Taylor. Heaslip was very lucky to have kept his spot for this long.

Noticed Peter Rolfe named in the ressies. Would love to see him play league footy again after a couple of years on the sidelines. Perhaps he'll be ready for the next time we play the Bays.. ;)

STURT

Sturt continues to regain its best talent with the inclusion of two premiership players to face Port on Sunday.

Crafty forward Josh Hone and defender Sam Jonas have been named on the extended interchange bench for the clash against the Magpies at Alberton.

They have been joined in the 23-man squad by former Eagle Byron Sumner, who has served a one-week suspension for striking at the SANFL Incident Review Panel.

Sumner’s dash will be handy given fellow Indigenous player Dwayne Wilson was unable to be considered due to a hamstring strain.

Aidyn Johnson returns from injury while Steven Summerton and Louis Sharrad have been added to the five-man extended interchange bench.

Aaron Young’s standout performance against West last round – 36 disposals and five goals – has been rewarded with elevation while Dan Houston and Jake Neade have also been called up by AFL coach Ken Hinkley.

Veteran Angus Monfries will miss at least one match after straining his calf against the Bloods in Round 9.

SOUTH

South Adelaide defender Tom Fields has earned a recall for the Macca’s League clash against Norwood on Sunday.

Racking up 30 disposals, 11 marks, six tackles and a goal in the Reserves last round, the long-kicking left-footer has been named at half-back.

The former Carlton rookie has been joined in the Panthers’ 23-man squad by hard-running Richard Newell and possible debutante Jordan Taylor.

Taylor, who has previously been listed on the extended interchange bench this season, is a 23-year-old who measures in at 191cm and 86kg.

NORWOOD

Norwood will welcome back defender Cam Shenton for the contest against South on Sunday.

The former St Kilda player has recovered from a shoulder injury to be named at full back for the game at Noarlunga.

He has been joined in the Redlegs’ 23-man squad by Harry Viney and possible debutant Chris Olsson.

From Tea Tree Gully FC, Olsson measures in at 176cm and 69kg.

Possibly the strongest Sturt side on paper so far this year, unfortunately Port look as though they might get up in this one.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Keeps this up and he'll earn himself a place in the Magpies league side.

True, the Legs are definitely switched on. By far better disposing of the ball and playing accountable footy. Tim Webber might be done for the day.
