Would've announced it by now if he was. Pert resigned so he didn't have to sack his mate Buckley. Collingwood have gone backwards every year under him*. They'll be the laughing stock if they lock him in again.

*9-13 last year currently 8-12-1 with Melbourne this week.

Yesterday Eddie said there would be no announcement either way until after the final game. Board meeting today to talk about the reviews that have now been completed

Pert was the first piece in the puzzle, there's no way he wanted to be the one to give Bucks the DCM.

That part he'd step over his own sons to do, but the actual delivery to Bucks behind closed doors would have him a mess.

"GET 'EM while they're hot," has never meant so much for fans heading to games across Australia this weekend.

The AFL has done a deal with every stadium being used in round 23, to offer fans $2 hot pies before the bounce at each match.

Beginning on Friday night at Etihad Stadium and continuing at every game through the weekend, fans will be able to purchase discounted pies right up until each match begins, at which point prices will revert to whatever that venue normally charges.

It follows an announcement earlier this week that kids under 15 will get free general admission entry to every game this weekend.

"These initiatives are part of our continued commitment to constantly improve match day experiences and affordability for footy fans, and thank you for turning out in record numbers during the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season," said AFL clubs and broadcasting general manager Travis Auld.

Fans will be invited to take part in kick-to-kick on the arena after four of the nine games.

There'll also be giveaways from Foxtel and a major prize of a $15,000 family holiday to Legoland in California.

Port Adelaide v Gold Coast at Adelaide Oval, 7.10pm ACST

Kids in free offer, subject to conditions listed below*
$2 pie offer valid until the start of the match
