2017 Off-Season

Postby bennymacca » Tue Sep 12, 2017 10:55 pm

Jack Trengove delisted by Melbourne. Seems like a sad story. #2 pick and made captain way too early by mark neeld, then wrecked by injury.

Wonder if another club will take a punt on him. Tbh I was expecting him to get a lot of games this year but he was just running around in the reserves

Unfortunately looks gone. Too much risk and the game has changed rapidly since he was a regular, think he might be too slow.

What does your team need in the trade period, or who is trade bait?
Read something this morning that Fasolo wants to go to WC. Not sure on this one.

What do the crows need? It's a tough one. One of the best balanced teams in the comp. midfielders with good skills would help. If lever goes I think we have replacements in doedee or even McGovern going back.

If we go to the draft I think we take the best mids we can

I think Fasolo's a good option to trade out. Have thought so for the past few years - get something for him while we can.
We'll trade him to you for Darling, darling ;)

Don't see either of them leaving. Sloane would have gone a couple of years ago if he wanted to

Welcome to FA, get used to it because all clubs have to. I don't hate it, players have the right to go where they want and where their best chances of success or $$ are

You need a ruckmen, Jacobs 30, zero back up. Lycett maybe?

Happy with obrien as backup still.

Wouldn't mind us throwing the kitchen sink at Grundy in a couple of years

Any chance of working that into a deal for Lever next month?

I wonder. Potentially.

Grundy hasn't exactly worked well as a forward though. So it would be tough to play them both. So I'm not sure we will do it.

If Grundy was even a possibility of part of Lever deal, I doubt he would have signed a contract late in the year, unless it was a contract agreed by the Crows to pay.

Isn't Lever meant to be going to the Dees?

The reports say the dees are the front runners but Collingwood are interested too. They have a lot more to give us imo so wouldn't be surprised if we try to do a deal with them

Mason Cox just re-signed with Collingwood 3 year deal apparently.
