Hard to go past Norwood.

Norwood by 5 goals in what I expect will be a tough encounter.

Good going to a game not knowing what to expect tho TDJ. Most teams are that inconsistant wh the **** knows what they going to dish up.

Standard has slipped a lot in recent years

If they are which I extremely doubt it then it's a sinking ship for both.
We lost plenty and recruited nothing so the talent is very thin.

If the coach didn't have this 1 year agreement he would be under enormous scrutiny . He cant be sacked if you think about it.

Yup. I'm feeling a bit of doom and gloom about this.
It will be a famous victory if we can pull it off.

I will be there, though.

Is the coach responsible for recruiting, numbers, who, how much.
How many premierships has Laird taken the Bulldogs to?

When was the last time these two sides met under nights at the Parade?

Will we see any activity on the hill? Probably unlikely.

NORWOOD
League

Norwood has regained its captain for the Friday night blockbuster against Central at The Parade.

Premiership defender Jace Bode will resume at half-back after serving a three-match suspension for striking from the SANFL Tribunal.

He has been joined by former North Melbourne southpaw Brad McKenzie, who was a late withdrawal in Round 7 while Caleb Edmead has been named on the extended interchange to potentially face his old club for the first time.

Key forward Mitch Carter can celebrate his 20th birthday today after getting a chance to play his first Macca’s League game since Round 17 2016, as he looks to prove himself in the absence of Luke Surman, who will miss at least six weeks with a dislocated elbow.

Luckless defender Pat Levicki has again been forced on to the sidelines with a quad injury.

CENTRAL

Loyal Central veteran Luke Habel will play his first Macca’s League game of the season against Norwood on Friday night.

The highly-skilled 29-year-old has played in seven Reserves matches for the Bulldogs but will finally get his chance against the Redlegs after being named in the forward pocket.

Habel has been joined in the Bulldogs’ 23-man squad by strong-bodied recruit Brody Mahoney and former Norwood defender Ryan Llewellyn, who have been named on the extended interchange.

Emerging midfielder Jackson Hately is unavailable due to his commitments with the McDonald’s SA Under-18 team.

Thanks, more recent than I thought.

Sorry, I meant to say that that game "was the last time the 'Dogs lost there."

And, yeah, fair to say CDFC night games at Norwood haven't been high priority for the League for a while. :D

Anyway, our lads have had a couple of reasonably promising starts over recent weeks but frustrating to watch after that, as been alluded to by others. Losing this means going two games out of the five.

Keeping the faith, 'Dogs in a close one.
