Falkenberg and Burton both named in the forward lines, Payne named across half back. Congratulations to all 3.

Hey N were you on selection this week? I notice in: S.Burton

Ryan Falkenberg a great game last week in the Reserves, I have been impressed with him the last 2 seasons.

Well done and good luck to all the debutants this week and in the future,

Steve Burton has been amassing plenty of possessions all season in the twos. Can waste some of his hard earnts but definitely deserving.
Falkenberg is a Westhoff type. Missed the first 6 rounds with Glandular Fever but was up and about last week.
Mitch Payne is just 18 and played in the State U20s team last week.

Crowserves by 60+. They will dominate the centre bounce and most stoppages and our forwards will be outgunned by their defence. It will be a herculean effort to win when we are so lacking in confidence. J Schiller needs to go back to being a tagger, it is his best role and although he is getting plenty of possessions and tackles, it all seems so ineffective. We do not have anyone who runs and carries productively, with the current lot burning the ball when they are faced with uncertainty. This is most probably due to having too many mid paced players who are under the hammer and rush their decision making. I like all of the inclusions; Gillard is going to have to demonstrate that he can run hard throughout a game and make the most of his skills and tackling pressure.

Although we will not make the finals, this game is a real litmus test on how we proceed. If we do get hammered, training methods must be looked at and some weary legs will need to be rested and allow some lads showing real promise in the reserves to get some games under their belts. Now is not the time to flog guys on the track.
