No figures but struggling in some key areas for a footy club. Council has knocked back a request of assistance from my understanding.

A net surplus for South of $421K (which includes the $275K SANFL land fund). Match day revenue appears to have taken a bit of a hit in addition to fundraising and sponsorship.

Borrowings of $1.58M, down from $1.89M in 2018.

I think every SANFL club is struggling!
Apparently we break even on home games with 1,500 in attendance & that's not happening much these days.
Centrals will be debt-free in 2021,
that's something to look forward to.

Still waiting UK Fan's comments.

There is no way a reported financial situation like this would go without response on the PAFC boards, does the bloke even support Centrals or did he join SAF in their prime posing as a Dog looking for internet friends.

Either that or I know there is nothing to worry about.

The story in the paper alluded to centrals requesting a further $12k off a water bill.

As I stated on Facebook big deal.

Maybe if PAFC was made to pay its annual $600k licence repayment/ Adelaide oval rent it wouldn’t be an issue for sanfl clubs.

Declining membership is nothing to worry about. What is the club doing to reconnect with its supporters?

Tried to keep the AFL out and maintain the competition integrity and relevance.

Membership sponsorship and home attendance have all dropped since AFL reserves.

Thus we voted NO and still stand firmly against AFL reserves.

The solution is pretty obvious.

Blame game, adjust to the current landscape. So again what is the club doing to reconnect with its lost members? Cmon champ this is a line of questioning you're all too familiar with.

new coach,
new board members,
probably new CEO mid next season,
we now have a lady on the board, a voice for the female footy players,
I know it's not much yet but it's a start.

Thanks Gaz, but tbh I don't really care. Your club is integral to the makeup of the league but that's as far as my interest extends. Just trying to call out a shit c*** who spends more time posting about another clubs goings on then reporting on his own.

The Central District Football Club has had a female on the board for the past 3 years - Tanya Rowland - who stepped down this year.

Bridey Lewis has also been on the board as Women's Football Director for a couple of seasons, now.

Natalie Seaman is the newly appointed female board member, voted in along with Graham Stopp, at the recent AGM.

Reading some comments on here , it sounds like Centrals have been poorly managed ? A coach who stayed too long and the club not rejuvenating . The lights were a big hit financially apparently.
No one has mentioned fans have dropped off due to being spoiled for success and not really Footy followers ?? Just a thought

... says the regular troll who never declares an allegiance.

Storm in a teacup. "Financial Troubles" is a long way from asking the council for a discount. Sounds like good management to try and minimise your expenses by available means, and if you can do that without affecting the football department then all the better.

Brett, after which of his premierships would you personally have sacked him if you think Roy coached for too long?? His first, second, third... or seventh????????? We only missed out on yet another grand final by a couple of kicks a couple of years ago and only missed the finals twice in his 17 year reign. When would you have sacked him?????????????
As for your (and you appear to be the only person in the football world to even suggest Central have 'financial trouble' btw'), tell us more please. To what extent have Central had more financial trouble than most SANFL clubs???? To suggest we have been poorly managed... where is your evidence of that please???

Perhaps stick to something you know how to do a bit more.? like blowing hot air out of your cerebrum.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said those things to Brett. I should have simply ignored him... his primary purpose on here seems to be to make critical and outlandish statements in order to gain attention. I stupidly allowed him more attention.
