worst umpiring in SANFL for a long long time

Postby rubbers0ul » Sun Oct 08, 2006 7:12 pm

was an absolute disgrace, the ump in the eagles 50 was a cheat.

cooper pull sibnealer on him and gets a free; was a f****n disgrace. - possibly the worst decision ive seen ever.

and the player currie tackled placed the ball on the ground in the motion of the tackle and got a free.

an eagles player playing on after coping one around the face and getting caught a good 10metres from where he started to play on.

the eagles player that went down with an oscar due to contact about 50metres out 3rd quarter, on the reply currie didnt touch him

slade getting tackled around the face on the boundary line members side, no free.

these are just off the top of my head. the guy next to me was listening to a walkmen and he said the commentators even started laughing at some of the frees they were kicking goals from.

for me, this umpiring was worse then the deal the crows copped vs west coast.

richard williams destroyed us in the grand final last year two, when the eagles player kept faking hed been hit in the face by gowans, the reply showed that the contact was soooooooooooooooo small and the eagles player just threw his head back.

:-({|= Here's 50 cents, ring someone who cares. Centrals were crap, Eagles were great. You got beaten by a better team.

you got comprehensively beaten & were outclassed by a committed team, your team at times were undisciplined you have pulled out a few decisions so whether your right or not with those decisions i can not phathom how they would make up 13 goals & furthermore you were never ever going to win after 1/4 time & the umps had nothing to do with it
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Yep 5 "free" in the against you and I bet just as many would have gone against the Eagles...... :?

So that is why you lost by 12 goals........

Can I say we offcially have a winner for the worst post of the year title sown up...... =D>

Tip mate when you lose this is the best policy :-#
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

GOLD!

I was also wondering how he got home so quick!!!!

One thing I did notice however was when Cicca went for the hanger in the last 1/4 inside 50 Richard Williams went over to him to explain the free kick he gave away and at the end of the chat shaked hands with him and patted him on the back!!! still 10 minutes to go...

PS it wasn't even Richard Williams that made (most) of these decisions!

the umpiring was a little inconsistent at times BUT it did not effect the result and the better team won on the day

we got smashed by 10 goals, our players made more mistakes then the umpires

If in doubt blame the umpires.. it wasn't blokes dropping there heads when they heard footsteps or the fact that at 3 quarter time the eagles had 29 shots to 5 on goal.. all we can say is cry all you like cause it won't effect the fact that the Eagles have won this year!
