Most people will still be asleep when this game is being played. Going for an upset here, as Blackwood haven’t played a game in 3 weeks so they’ll be rusty. BOG: Ethan Cass from Mt Lofty to win the medal.

What time does this game start?

Uraidla was up by nine points at the 22-minute mark but Hahndorf piled on five goals in the last eight minutes. #10 took two very strong marks and converted both times to give the Maggies the lead and then extend it to eight points at the 25-minute mark.

I don't think Kane McLean would have slept too well last night.

He missed some vital shots at goal at the 18-20 minute mark of the final quarter that could have iced the game for Uraidla, but even worse was his decision to kick around his body (Steve Johnson style) in the 3rd quarter when he marked 15 metres out, almost straight in front, and missed a sitter - ridiculous.

Wasn't at the game, but that's pretty well the way that Goldy & Pistols called it on the radio coverage as well...

So do people think the scheduling played any part in the result?

Agree Thudpucker, I thought game was dusted with Uraidla being 9 points up. If the break had affected them we would have seen a one sided affair. But Hahndorfs run in the last 6-8 minutes (on the back of 3 do or die final wins in a row) was stunning. One of the best finishes I have seen in a country footy grand final. Apart from one incident in the opening minutes of the game by one player, it was played in the right spirit as well. Two great teams battling it out all day with the combination of pace, youth and some experienced big body players seeing Hahndorf win out in the end. Uraidla were in control for 80-90% of the game, but you felt that all they were doing is 'holding' up Hahndorf which slipped at the end of the 3rd qtr, then the beginning and end of the last quarters. Some ominous signs with Hahndorf appearing in the 3 other minor grade finals in years to come if they hold those players and hold their current A grade squad.

How was Balhannah as a venue?

I thought Balhannah was pretty good, cars were back off the rails allowing the crowd to sit on the edge of the fence, didnt have to line up long for food or drink. It appeared they had sections cordoned off for each of the clubs appearing in the grand final which was a great way of creating pockets of atmosphere (Hahndorf took up the outer wing to the clubroom goals and Uraidla had from the bottom goals up to their coaches box). Well done to those organising it. I was a bit baffled why they let people sit on the inside of the ring though, thought that was a bit dangerous.

Everyone was on the inside of the fence because there is no where to put them on the outside of the fence.
