The you would classify sitting on the couch watching tv exercise because you'd be burning pretty much the same calories. And no there isn't a pill that will make you lose weight.

I thought severance pay was tax free. The only part you should pay tax on is any holidays owing to you.

Depends how it's classified. What's known as 'Genuine Redundancy Payments' are tax free, however, an 'Employment Termination Payment' is slightly different and taxed at 31.5%.

Yes, apparently losing your job and losing your job are two different things.

Some property owners are morons. Our last property in Perth (3x2 villa, 25kms from city and charging $450 pw. Gotta love Perth) the pump went on the dishwasher and needed a new one. So we sent in a repair request and the land owner didn't replace it under the advice of the agent because its "a luxury item".

Like **** I'm paying that much to live in a place with out a dishwasher that was on the agreement when we signed up.

Then after our letters to the tribunal the land owner replies that he will replace it in good faith and is disturbed that we attacked his integrity....

I'll replace anything in my Adelaide property if needed even though I had a tenant 2 years ago burn it to ground in a failed suicide attempt...

e-Tax. Doing my damn tax return for 2013 because clown will eat me if I don't. Now I know why I usually leave this stuff to an accountant. Anyone know some fun websites? I need something amusing. No porn, and no cats either because mine are giving me the shits even more than e-Tax.

Whoever picks the team at Mr McSpaz's footy club. He was going to retire - he's had a run of freakish injuries and the last few years have been pretty thankless - and then agreed to play Bs cos they needed players. It's been one bloody week and they've put him back in the As and he's got a broken hand. (That part is his fault though cos he hasn't told anyone and says it's only a fracture so it doesn't count. I asked him what he was gunna do about it and he said 'Strap it'.) ](*,)

Throw in a couple panadene fortes with red bull too. Seemed like a lot of effort to play in a side who lost by 10 goal.

My missus is a qualified paramedic and she was trainer after that. I wouldn't have got away with that under her watch.

Just reminded Mr McSpaz to get his hand strapped. He said 'Which one?' and held up both hands with broken-looking fingers on each. I hope that doesn't mean what I think it does. 8-|

How Sydney is knocking down perfectly good buildings in a Darling Harbour for a massive redevelopment after only 25 odd years whilst Adelaide can't even develop their existing Torrens riverfront.

With the convention centre and Adelaide Oval upgrades, the area is ripe for a ''Southbank' type development.
