This is bizarre - but as I was reading this, I was posting some tourist info for a member and accidently grabbed an old (and I mean old) envelope.

which without realising, I licked* and then the taste hit me - and now I hope I don't die.

1) My housemate having approximately 500 condiments but no tomato sauce.
2) Driving to the shop to get tomato sauce for my son's chips and inadvertently parking in a spot where its deemed a bike lane for 90 mins a day (never usually shop at the time and trucks were parked in front of the signs) so the tomato sauce ends up costing me $242.

that's bizzare...

i'm going to go into the oxygen selling business, collect jars and containers of nice fresh country air then bring them back to the city and sell them for a few bucks...

Only a few bucks?

Take them to China and get a few hundred each:

Some lines are far more amusing when quoted out of context, wouldn't you agree?

This pisses me off like nothing else. My students asked for feedback on their first assignment; I gave them detailed feedback and broke down their grade into 5-6 sections explaining what marks were allocated where and why - and I've just finished marking their second assignment, and with the exception of a few average ones, they were all shithouse. They had to reference a particular source and at least five of them wrote the author's surname without capitalising the first letter. Possessive apostrophes are a myth, apparently. What the f*** do they learn before they come to uni? It's not my job to teach them basic spelling and grammar, or to explain what 'referencing' means.

Tertiary educators should expect basic grammar skills of their students to be assumed knowledge.

However, my gripe of the tertiary education system is the secondary educators do not pay enough attention to the importance of referencing at university. Either that or I wasn't paying attention that day when they went through that at my high school.....

Covert State Taxation at work...
It is similar to the way "Supply Charges" for utilities do not reflect the cost of supply but the value of your property making them a covert form of Land Tax on the primary residence which we don't have officially.

It is a bit rough in your situation.
Once upon a time they'd have reduced it to a caution in those circumstances.

But SA needs the dough for the rising debt - I copped two fines for the same type of offence in 2010 - exceeding the speed limit by 10-20 kph.
The NSW once was $84, and the SA one was about $250.

Easter Camping Etiquette
We have reserved a spot on our own land (which is ridiculous in principle).
Some joker has pulled his camper trailer up on the spot.
Ring him up and he tries to justify why.
See ya later mate, and don't bother coming next year either.
