Yep. I am forever trying to take my wife's pants off....

What irritates me is not so much the money itself but the dishonesty!
This is, by stealth, Land Tax on the personal residence which they promised they would never introduce.

They would, of course, argue that, technically, they have kept their word as it is not called Land Tax.
However, jacking up the ESL and the supply charges on utilities to fund the deficit they ran up works the same way.

Pretty much getting called a thief by one of our reps over 10c change he forgot I gave him this morning.

He argued with me for 5 minutes about it. I ended up cracking the shits and gave him 50c out of my own money just to shut the f***head up.

He proceeded to give me 40c change in 5c coins (which I threw at the desk)

I think he has slight mental problems (not joking) but getting called a thief is one of the worst things to me, because I pride myself on my honesty.

a donation box is a better idea and puts people under less pressure to commit to something because they will pressured and don;t have the confidence to say no.

That's the look I gave the Scientologists at the train station a few years back when tried to hand me one of their 'Are you toxic?" cards.

Not getting any sort of acknowledgement when letting someone into traffic. That really grinds my gears.

I hate getting acknowledgement - I don't need to be thanked for putting my foot on my brake for an extra few seconds.

I always give someone a wave when they are courteous to me on the road, and I like getting one when I am.

Yep, good manners and civility are pillars of our society. Without them we might as well pack up and leave.

Agreed. I can be a real arsehole when common courtesy is not extended to me.

Is it therefore safe to assume you don't acknowledge anyone who does something similar for you on the road?

by the same token, while driving in the hills on saturday i made sure to give a little wave of acknowledgement to the lovely driver of the truck that flat out refused to use the "slow vehicle turnouts" they were merrily passing at a whopping 40km/h, once i eventually got past them that is. stupid pricks waved back. somehow they were totally oblivious to the dozen or so vehicles that they were holding up with their complete lack of courtesy. carrot and stick works imho ;)

on a related note, arent topless cars great for giving other road users an old school single finger salute
