I'd be all for the roadworks that bring significant benefit (ie, Northern Expressway) but most of the metro stuff, certainly in the West had already been done in the last 10 or even 5 years for no apparent benefit to commuters. Drains still overflow, usually no lanes being added etc. Just a way of reducing unemployment Id guess - which is obviously not a bad thing, just address more important tasks with it.

So a Telstra technician comes to my house, sets up the phone line and says everything is now working. Set up my internet connection and nope, it's not working. So now a second technician will have to come out. Not happy

Aaaahhhhhh, see, they have you conned into thinking there is progress when in actual fact it really isn't....

Yes, prime example now being the Sudholz/NE Rd intersection. The right lane is slower now, than it was when you could turn right there.

I finally got smart and didn't bother with the turn left to turn right thing - straight ahead and cut through Hogs carpark or Petbarn, wherever there is no traffic 8)

Example of good roadworks - Park Terrace/Prospect Rd out front of Blackfriars oval - merging no longer required, now 3 lanes, woo hoo!

Yep the park tce setup is good nowm really opened up that section a bit. Thats progress, well excpet when you get down to the Port Road intersection [emoji12]

Half the time its about re-curbing or resurfacing a road.

I don't have any services with Telstra, just need them to actually do a proper job of forming a physical connection between the pit and my house

I was talking to a young male teacher last night about if he had permanency or not and his reply was,

"I have to get into Primary School (he's a high school teacher).........and not be charged with anything..."

He said it in a joking way, but I could tell he wasn't too happy about the situation.

It's pretty sad that even the guys that would never do anything wrong are feeling like they're being looked at with suspicion because of a few sick f**ks.....not to mention the kids that actually go through this bullshit.

Wonder what the statistics are of the percentages of male teachers in the Primary school system. Shockingly low I suspect.....

Look at that Honest British man in the news yesterday found not guilty of sexual assault on the Underground. Some stuck up bitch gets off on the grounds on anonymity when she accused the bloke of 'penetrating' her when they accidentally bumped into each other in a crowded train station. Could not believe police even took it that far when they had clear CCTV footage of the accidental contact. Surely the prosecutor was embarrassed to take it before a judge

Just 17.2 per cent of public primary school teachers are men, down from 17.5 per cent last year and 19.9 per cent in 2013.
