Is there an issue with the Barossa kids that once they finish juniors they head back to their home club to play A Grade, rather than fighting their way through the Jets' C and D Grade over time?
Have heard that about kids from some of the Hills clubs and also down south.
As a 17 year old if I ...

That's nothing new, TTG were always floating around looking for talent in the area.

Re: Grade Cricket
Pretty interesting case at Northerns. Over the next few weeks I'll post what I believe each club needs, some more specific than others, and I'd love some feedback.
Northern Districts
Finaihed 12th, 7th, 10th & 13th across the Seniors. U14's finsihed 4th in the Red and 6th in Whites. 16's teams ...

Re: Grade Cricket
Does anyone know what Ben Turley is doing? I heard a whisper that he was putting his name out there? He'd be a handy pick up at any club and definitely his batting, bowling and experience at the Jets would help!
Wonder if the karma bus will back up over this mooted move.....
What do you mean ...

Re: Grade Cricket
I would be interested in your thoughts Port Pirie Power. I have heard that the Joe Gatting appointment has been well received with the Northerns playing group, and may help to retain Coop.
The players seem to understand what the problem is there - thoughts?

Re: Grade Cricket
Do not agree, Glenelg going down is rewarding mediocrity in grade cricket. They are clearly one of the strongest clubs, having 2 clubs go down each year will continue to be detrimental. In my view having a points system spread over a couple of seasons, is a much better way to have promotion ...

Re: Grade Cricket
Mitch thomas was a big loss to them and really showed his class when coming to A1 by winning the POTY
Box never lit A1 up
Cooper didnt take a bucket of wickets.
Cox Played A2 and i dont think did a heap (this might be wrong but from what i remember)
i think they would beat alot of sides but ...

Re: ATCA
They can't go into A2.
Why not. Pretty sure Goodwood did it 2 seasons ago.
Didn't the ATCA create a temporary Bylaw to allow it when they went back to 12 teams per division? Goodwood won A3 the last year of 8 teams and most of them had to go up to form A2.
It wasn't a temporary bylaw.

Re: ATCA
I think that’s what he wasn’t happy about.
After losing to St Iggies in rd 1, where both Sandary and Sandercock played Div1, they then elected to drop them into the Bs to qualify them for finals.
This isn’t a case of a couple of guest players squeezing out the 10th and 11th ranked players from IF ...

I don't think Frogbox is allowed as evidence in ATCA
i hope thats not the case.....
I know that some games have frogbox others dont etc but at the end of the day if the evidence exists it should be used regardless of the source.
Watch the league cry around September next year that they dont ...

Re: ATCA
Surely a mistake by the ATCA executive having a Para Hills life member umpire their game vs Goodwood this week.
Incorrect.
ATCA executive are not involved in the umpire appointments.
The umpires have their own association, (I think its called the umpires and scorers association?) and I believe ...

Re: BLCA 2016-17
Doesn't look like any malice intended to me from either player. They just ended up in each other's space and there was a mini spot fire.
Certainly there was nothing unusual about the path the bowler took, or where the batter walked. Neither seemed to be doing a Kohli and looking for contact.
