Re: North v Centrals Sunday 1410

A few silly mistakes the only difference. Caught up with a bloke I went to school with 25 years ago, a good lad and a good day had. Getting stuck under the grog van at the southern end when North kick a goal is an experience. Good value.
There's a van there too? Surely Skeff Bar is enough.
Who has the breeze in the last war?

The bar/van was good value. Good company and a passionate bunch of supporters around it. The comp will only be better with lads (and one ladette) supporting it. They deserve their win, enjoyed being there.

Except for watching too much cricket you sound too smart to be out of a job for long Too much cricket? Never haha. My brother and I are huge cricket nerds and the women in our lives don't understand lol.

All the best lad, decent blokes like you deserve a bit of luck going their way. As a fellow cricket nuffie I reckon you should've been getting kickbacks for your cricket thread.

Re: Things that make you sad.

Couldn’t sleep last night. Ended up getting the better of me. Pulled the laptop out at 2.00am. Wrote my Eulogy out in full. Took your advice LM as I didn’t want to miss anything. I’ve edited it a few times since and had Mrs C read it. She cried and told me it was beautiful.

Shout out to Boon for straightening me up on an old Port player who Mum admired.

Looking forward to delivering it and doing Mum proud.

Crying tears still.

I did my old man's eulogy and all I can say is speak from the heart lad. I can't say it will get easier as I've thought about him every day since he left us. It still hurts like hell and always will but all I can say is remember them lad, they're worth their weight in gold. Thoughts are with you.

Re: Centrals vs West Richmond oval 14/7

Central MUST win to keep finals hopes alive, lose & it's definitely over for 2018.
Central by 5 points.

If we play like we did against South and North we'll win, if we play like we did against the Bays we'll get pummeled. Dunno to be honest. I'll be in the north/western pocket with the dress thongs on hoping for the former.
I'll be in that pocket too, in front of the bar, I'm the one with the constant grimace, as I endure the modern footy spectacle.

Re: Central v Norwood

I left the ground not feeling angry but disillusioned. If that is the game style we are pursuing as a club we will go absolutely nowhere. The young kids being introduced haven't got a hope in hell of learning the craft or developing as players playing that crap. Norwood barely got out of neutral, had us by the balls all day. Shattered.

Re: INS and OUTS for 2018

Where is the Punmaster when you need him. Come back Mags :D
Currently Watt’s a wanted player, but not quite the joule in Sturt’s crown, so to speak. Powerful skills, likes to switch the play and apparently can kick the ball a country Couloumb-etre.

Also, no truth in the rumour that the Sturt players are torqueing of a re-volt. Dogs' fans will be keen to hear his name called on the transistor. Dunno is he’s got a short fuse, but if so, he’ll probably get done for a charge.

Welcome back.

Re: Preliminary Final teams.

Dear Diary

I feel dirty and confused.

A great bloke is playing for North, Lewie Hender. Ripping lad. As a Bays fans I am finding myself supporting North in a finals series and hoping they win.

This isn't normal and this goes against all I hold near and dear to me.

Why are North recruiting good blokes like Lewie instead of d!ckheads like Antrobus, Hart and Jarman??

Please help

Cheers

Conflicted
Dear Conflicted,

As a Bay supporter, you sympathise with North's lengthy premiership drought and appreciate the exciting, dashing ways of its players. This is logical and normal human behaviour. Do not challenge your feelings. In fact, I say go with the flow and embrace your inner Rooster, which may still be present after last night's take-away tea. As Oscar Wilde said, 'The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it.'

Antrobus, Hart and Jarman put their hands up to play, but the club gently reminded them that they are too old. ;)

Kind regards,

Dr Phil.

A request for the Central fans to please not harass young ladies who volunteer their time to be physios for South. It would be a nice change.

Not saying it hasn't happened elsewhere but it certainly hasn't near where I've stood for years.

They've copped similar at Norwood and Richmond too.

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's

Not sure how he still gets a gig. Disgraceful side. Because there's not much else at domestic level to choose from. Who do pick instead? Handscomb, Maxwell, Burns?

And Mitch is batting too high, he aint a number 4, leave him at 6 FFS.

If Paine breaks another finger Mong Darsh will be Australian Test Captain. I've been waking up in a cold sweat after having that nightmare. Would top off the farce that is the Marsh obsession.

Yeah, Friday it was "we should show some compassion"

Today I think they've had enough.

She is a compulsive liar, day 3 of a sickness streak a couple of years ago she was sending me messages saying that she was in hospital with an illness that none of the doctors had seen before and didn't know how long she'd be in there for, I seen her that afternoon driving through the KFC drive thru, she took the following day off and returned the next with a piece of cotton wool band-aided to her arm.

To be fair, KFC is usually the best medicine.
She's used KFC food poisoning as an excuse a few times.

To be fair, KFC is usually going to give you food poisoning.

Went to a wedding years ago where the bride and groom got food poisoning froma KFC meal the night before. The groom only just made it to the ceremony, had to be seated for all the photos and spent the reception curled up on the hotel room bathroom floor.

In their last 10 innings both Hazelwood and Lyon have more runs than Marsh

But he's looked really good making those 2'and 3's, he's just unlucky. And I have a 10 foot cock. Neither are true. Burn the fu**&ng photos that family have of people in power.
I don’t rate him as test player but the facts are he dominates SS and makes that many runs that selectors have to pick him.
It’s about time guys in the SS start making runs and putting pressure on him but as we have seen again today no one has really stepped up in the SS again

I would happily stand corrected but I reckon he averages under 40 after over 10 years of Sheffield Shield cricket. That is far from dominating. Draw a line through the cu*** name and never pick him again.

Huge blue not playing a specialist spinner I reckon, Ashwin bowled a truckload of overs for few runs whilst still providing an attacking option so the quicks could rotate at the other end. They don't have that now. They may pay for an all balls no brains attitude.
