Re: What's for lunch?

For faark sake, STOP NOW. =;

You DO NOT buy smallgoods from a supermarket, especially no their no name branded shit.

You think you Aussies would have learnt something since the wog invasion after WWII.

Take Boon’s lead, he’s embraced it. Faark, if someone from Alberton can, anyone can.

OK, I need some time to settle down.

Play on.

Re: Australian International Summer 2023/24

Uzzy has been charged by the ICC for wearing a black arm band during the 1st Test.

Pathetic by the ICC While I think it's shit they charged him he did breach their regulations.
https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/usman-khawaja-charged-by-icc-for-wearing-black-armband-at-perth-test-1413824
"Usman Khawaja has been charged for breaching Clause F of the Clothing and Equipment Regulations," an ICC spokesperson told ESPNcricinfo. "Usman displayed a personal message (arm band) during the first Test Match against Pakistan without seeking the prior approval of Cricket Australia and the ICC to display it, as required in the regulations for personal messages. This is a breach under the category of an 'other breach' and the sanction for a first offence is a reprimand."

The ICC's clothing and equipment regulations state: "Players and team officials shall not be permitted to wear, display or otherwise convey personal messages on their clothing, equipment or otherwise, irrespective of whether such messages are affixed to clothing, equipment or otherwise and whether such messages are displayed or conveyed through the use of the specific clothing or other items (eg. an arm band) or by the use of words, symbol, graphic message, images or otherwise ('personal messages'), unless approved in advance by both the player or team official's board and the ICC Cricket Operations Department. Approval shall not be granted for messages which relate to political, religious or racial activities or causes."

Do you require a death certificate to seek approval to wear a black arm band?

By doggedly trying to prosecute him, they’re providing media exposure to the very issue they’re trying to suppress. =D>

Just watched it again with sound.

He was warned multiple times before the ump stood to block him, so to claim he didn’t know is laughable.

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape

Surely the court had better things to do that day.

Granger arrived at the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court wearing thongs, rolled-up jeans, a duster jacket and a white antique potty on his head.

The once-feared Magpies player told reporters it was a combination he had previously worn during a protest at Parliament House.

“This item is known as a gazunder, it’s white enamel (and) commonly known to us common people, as pisspot,” he said.

In his witness statement, Mr Atkinson alleged the bucket was “three-quarters full” of water and “cascaded” over him after Granger threw it “in an underarm fashion”.

Re: Cricket Commentators

From the vault, John Arlott on Kiwi Bob Cunis …

Bob couldn’t be described as medium pace because he wasn’t quick enough. But he couldn’t be called a spinner because he didn’t spin it.

At the end of a long’s day play, after several bottles of red wine, Arlott advised his listeners:

“And, as for Cunis, his bowling, like his name, was neither one thing nor the other.”

Re: PAFC 2024

No SANFL in AFL. Get out interloper. You don't belong here. Scum.

I'll reply with more as they come to mind.

Now you’re conflating issues, and also conflating what others have said to me.

Yep, I hate Port, but certainly no more than Norwood, and that hate pre-dated all the AFL stuff by decades.

After all the arrogance of Port over years, you expect people to go soft on them when, as an AFL identity or whatever they think they are these days because it all changes with the wind, they continually bomb out in finals and the coach is still there after 10 years? Poor Fos and Jack, their legacies are being trashed!

And to top it all off, that misplaced arrogance provides us with the Holy Grail of gems … 3 flags in 5 years? How’s that going? #-O

Seriously mate, be precious and play the victim if you want, and I truly sympathise with old school Port supporters (pre AFL), but your club is an AFL enterprise, and all those wonderful things that were the true Port Adelaide have long gone. I get it though, you want to fully support and defend your club.

Apparently it’s OK to use the usual old Bays stereotypes and jokes, but faark no, can’t come back the other way. I don’t care if you pull the old gays card, or all the GF loses, or the wife swapping 70s … it’s all good old fun and banter.

Despite all that, as with everyone else and all other clubs, if your actions require the piss to be taken, no-one is going to miss the opportunity.

Seriously, lighten up! O:)

With much love.

Re: BBL 23/24

Serious question... As someone who doesn't care for big bash, i've always wondered about the "passion levels" for following a team. Do you really care if the strikers lose? like you do if your footy teams lose, and when you go to the games are you going for a night out or you are genuinely there to support and care for the result?

Couldn’t give a rats toss bag, it’s not real cricket.
