Re: What are you reading now?

Just finished Unbreakable by Jelena Dokic. Brilliant book, one of the rare ones I can't put down and finished in 4 days. Almost a record for me! Everyone always knew there was something not right about her family and her situation, but could never imagine it to be as bad as it was for her.

Re: Port Adelaide 2020

Think Port have got the worst guernsey of the season wrapped up. Looks too shiny like an iron on job of the whole guernsey
Good game so far Do you prefer this Silver gurnsey or the Teal version more lol? I thought Port would of just wore the White version tonight but I think the Silver now proceeds the White as Ports 2020 away gurnsey?
I dont follow them that c;losely, dont they have the reverse of their home jumper as an away strip normally?
Don't follow them that closely? You post quite alot about Port though haha.
They did but I believe the Silver is now Ports Away/Clash guernsey for this season.
Yep, silver for away games, white for preseason

Re: AFL Finals Week 3 - Preliminary Finals

If that’s the last we see of Ebo on the field for us, he goes out with absolute courage, skill and selflessness in that last contest. Exactly how he deserves to be remembered.

This pitch in a NZ domestic game is as green as the outfield! Looking at the scores, I see one of their matches had a team all out for 65. I’m guessing that’s the game there!

Re: Port Adelaide 2020

Only up side to Fantasia, has a better goals per game average than anyone he would be competing with for a spot in the team

Dixon - 1.61
Marshall - 0.97
Gray - 1.41
Woodcock - 0.6
Farrell- 1.0
Motlop - 1.12
Georgie - 1.14
Fantasia - 1.39

Needs to get his body right. We can’t afford to have Fantasia and Burton as two who are always selected when fit, but rarely fit. Potentially a Hitchcock MkII

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2020-21

Would be a huge loss if Whetherald did leave the Redbacks, but all that is important right now is that he looks after himself and does what he needs to do to get himself right. Sport is not important in times like these

R.I.P. Phillip Hughes

One good thing about FB memories that come up each day are these type of gems.

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201126/e815da5216b8a433268b5305e6284dda.jpg

Not the most exciting photo, but for my efforts of 10 hours on an overnight bus to Melbourne, followed by another 10 hour bus ride home the following night, I got to see Phil Hughes smash 100 on the MCG. A memory I’ll cherish forever

Things that you rate!

Exploring country SA. On holidays with not much to do, so got in the car and started driving with no set destination in mind, just wanted to see a small town I hadn’t been to before. Ended up in Robertstown. Walked around the town, taking a lot of photos and spending a little money in various shops there. Love learning about the history of places on our doorstep that I wouldn’t get to see otherwise

Australian International Summer 2020/21

What an amazing series! If ever a cricket movie is going to be made, this is the series and the story to tell. I can’t even be upset at this result when it took such an amazing performance to bring it about

Saints giving us no room to move the ball quickly. Chipping the ball around isn’t something we do that well, always just a matter of time before we turn it over. So far so good though

It’s such an amazing thing to have happened, after so many days it’s a result I wasn’t expecting. I just hope she gets the support she needs going forward, including her right to privacy and not being hounded by media and so on as she grows up. Seeing that big smile in the photo they released today, wow, if that doesn’t make you emotional, nothing will

Re: Things that you rate!

Getting my mojo back, I've been a crumpled heap this year with the thought of leaving the company.

A huge weight was lifted on Wednesday and now I'm up and upbeat again. Big fella rocked into work today for the first time in a while, he'd whacked on a few kegs so I said "Hey man, have you been on the biggest winner?" He loved it.

I'm just feeling a shitload better, no stress about whether I should or shouldn't, just keen to go make a strong impression, today is the first day of the rest of my life. Brilliant stuff mate, very well deserved
