Re: Australian International Summer (The Ashes) 2021/22

England paceman Ollie Robinson has warned he will not stand down from any on-field altercations, claiming he will try and “unsettle” the Australians however he can during the upcoming Ashes series.

Robinson, touring Australia for his first Ashes series this summer, is more than prepared for whatever Pat Cummins’ men throw his way.

“The Aussie chat is pretty horrendous if I’m honest,” he told ESPNcricinfo.

“I don’t think me as a person could keep my head down if I tried. I’m definitely going to be trying to get under their skins and try and unsettle them as it were, batters and bowlers really.

“If I can get them off their rhythm then we’re winning, so it’s something you’ll definitely see, and hopefully we will come out on top.”

Poor form Ollie, nicking off on your third ball, didn't even given the chatter an opportunity to warm up!

Re: Things that you rate!

I bought a Beefeater 6 burner just before Christmas, have cooked on it 4 nights a week since.

Spargo, those wire brushes are great. My lad bought me some bbq tools from Gaganis Bros, they are great too. Will be picking up the rotisserie tomorrow to use on Australia Day

Working from home at the moment so I've had time to have the rotisserie going 3 - 4 nights a week, happy days.

If you have had a PCR you need to isolate until you are negative.

Yep true.
But if your housemates girlfriends, sister in law, mothers next door neighbour has had a pcr and you haven’t you’re free to go where you like.

This shit makes zero sense to me, I could be living with a super spreader but until she gets her results I can do what I like....I most likely have it if she does.

I've lived with a girl before who was also referred to as a super spreader.

Re: Round 1, 2022 - Tips, banter & results.

Why is Morris a flog?

He rightly reported Hunter wasn't selected, he reported the player, the staff and other players knew that, his mail was bang on. Beveridge has every right to eyeball his staff and find out who the leak is, he has no right to berate Morris like that for simply doing his job.
... he did, but how is it that the possible non selection of Lachy Hunter is even newsworthy? Mountains and molehills.

How dare a football reporter report on selection news.

Re: Round 1, 2022 - Tips, banter & results.

Crows have got a good one in Rachelle.
His a cracker but like the rest of them he will leave first chance he gets. I'm a fan of Nick's but our forward structure is amateur at best. When the talls constantly lead to all the wrong spots and poor little Rowe and mchenry have to make a contest for us in the forward half, easy misses at goal are very costly between that and kicking the ball to the crowd probably 5 to 6 times the skill set must improve quickly I think this team will be struggling for the remainder of this season and for a few season yet. well done to keays today incredible work ethic.

Didn't he sign a contract extension already?

Yep, until the end of 2025.

Maybe he will leave at the second chance he gets?

Im not a fan of Ken, but sacking him in early April is crazy talk, if he lost 3 games straight in June after a good start to the year would there be the same talk? If Port did it now or in the next month it would be a panic move.

Did laugh at Kochie yesterday though "we have the financial resources to do anything we want to do"

I take it from this, that paying back the SANFL loan / debt is something they could do but just don't want to do :-?

Re: Soooooo, how's this weather?

Well.... :-B

For the first time since 1974, which was the wettest year in Australia in 122 years of data, it looks like we're in for another La Nina cycle making it three consecutive La Nina and will be compounded by a negative Indian Ocean Dipole.

What does this mean? Another wet year ahead for the east coast of Australia, highly likely that there will be more flooding rains on an already soaked landscape and a mild summer with wetter than average forecasts for most of Australia.

Re: AFLW 2022

Adelaide said she's exploring her options with an "expansion club", the f*ckwits are running with that as a dig at Port when it's a sign of respect to Phillips. It's not Adelaide's announcement to make, its for Port and Phillips to announce and by allowing that to happen Adelaide show Phillips the respect she well earned with them.

Yeah nah its 100% Crows announcement to make that their losing a player as it is equally Ports announcement to make once they have picked up the player.

They are equally losing a star player as much as Port are picking one up. They didn't say where she lands but have kept their members informed they are losing one. As a member of a club I want to be kept as up to date as possible as the Crows have done that in this scenario.

Now that everyone knows she is leaving Port will get to make their big announcement that she is heading there.

Happens every year in the AFL where a player will announce they are leaving a certain club at the end of the year. Then once the new clubs signs them they announce the signing.

Fair play to them....play on.

Yep agreed, I have no issue with it.

All the Crows have done is keep members / supporters informed that she's leaving.

Didn't name Port in their release, leaving room for Port to make the announcement of where she'll land. (regardless of whether it was obvious or not).

Absolutely agree it wasn’t Adelaide’s “right” to announce where she was going

Have I missed something? Where in the release does Adelaide announce where she is going?

It doesn't and I'm saying they did the right thing, the "f*ckwits" are the ones on the socials who see it as a dig at Port.

Ahh... I confused my 'whits, well your reference to who were the 'whits.
