Last season showed we dont need either of them in the competition so we dont need to make compromises for them to play

Not great news just have to stick with the team we have and hopefully we can be competitive and surprise a few sides

Probably they always do what they like and the SANFL wont question it

Really impressed with Graham and i thought Iles showed enough to play league footy he looked ok .Havent seen anything of Grace or Grant but heard good reports about both of them.Watched all the reserves as well Jake Sutton looked good until he got injured and Tyson Richard moves well unfortunately didnt know to many others without knowing their numbers

Totally arrogant flogs its a wonder Koch has weighed in and had a sook as well.Bugger off we dont need or want you .

It would be so much better without them as was shown last season .Just disappear from our comp, the rules are for all teams in the SANFL not just them.

Obviously would love to see us win but i dont think we have the physicality to worry Port.Norwood could do it with their bigger bodies we dont have any really physically imposing type of players.

Lucky we werent playing because you can guarantee we wouldve been blamed for it

Nice to see Connor McLean named in the league side hope he gets a decent run at it.Theres no doubt he can play just has to get himself right to be a really good player at league level.Probably shouldnt be but worried about this game a lot of posters saying that we will win and Adelaide arent that good but it just worries me that we could lose and that would be disappointing.Would like to see Marsh rest up forward like he did a bit against North to give us a little more height .Hope Chris Olsson can find the board playing as a small forward he hasnt scored in the opening 3 games like the way he plays so hopefully he can impact the score.Very much a danger game i reckon .

We are on the right track just need to be more consistent and score goals we are getting enough of the ball.Connor McLean could be back after missing last week with concussion .We had our best win of the season last year beating Norwood hopefully we can do it again.

Jakob Thomson maybe shorter than Marsh but he has a good leap ,hes a good kick and does a bit around the ground and hes not frightened to throw his weight around either.May as well look at him i reckon we have nothing to lose by giving him a go .

You had us under control from qtr time and that has been the story of our season to date .Had a go in all games but just not talented enough to win them.

Kick straight we win .What about the reaction of that spud Garner after the siren and he is an average spud at that.How can Westhoff spend 95% of the game on the ground and not be told by the umpires to get off.

Fellow dogs supporters we know we have trouble scoring and lack height Fraser Fort is doing as well as he can but he can also be good for us in defence,would it be worth sticking Leek Alleer up forward we know he can take a grab and he would be a hard match up for opposition also if he doesnt complete the marks he flies for it wont hurt as much if the ball gets over the back.I know he is doing a great job in defence would it be worth a try ?

Magellan our lowest score at Elizabeth is 1-6 in 1967 v Port and remains our lowest score ever .

At least we wont lose this week .The Eagles miss out on certain win and big percentage boost.We wouldve got flogged on current form

Feel a bit for Thommo because we obviously dont have enough players of league standard,with the fadeouts we inevitably have in every game shows that the players either are incapable of putting together 4 qtrs .It happens far to often .

Unfortunately we have gone backwards as the season has progressed .To many players not of league standard and as has been the problem for a few seasons ordinary skills with an inability to hit targets by hand or foot .I wonder if we actually have a skills coach and if the players actually care .We are playing like a side who cant wait for the season to end .Fear a massacre next week against Glenelg.

Agree partly with this however unless Thommo gets help with some decent recruiting then we will continue to struggle.He simply hasnt had the talent at his disposal this year and players that actually could use the ball effectively with hand and foot would help as well.

Knowing Gazzamagoo as i do he certainly is a supporter and he loves the club ,as most of us do .We all want us to be better and most comments are made out of frustration .

Glenelg have got a fantastic side no wonder they are undefeated class on every line.I hope we go out and take the game on with a nothing to lose attitude .We have no chance if we play like we have been ,we wont win anyway but at least if we have a crack against the best and hopefully make them earn their certain win we could get something out of the game.Reallistically a 7- 8 goal loss would be a good effort .

Thats what happens when we have the AFL reserves in our league .

Just saw the Biemans report on SANFL website for hitting Woodcock .He shouldve been reported for acting going down like he did 3 pirouettes like he had been shot

Well done to the Eagles they were classes above us today sorry we couldnt give them a decent contest before the finals.That performance today was totally inept and embarrassing to dish that up on Jarrod Schillers 200th game was a disgrace .Quite simply to many players with appalling skills and not up to league standard and they need to be moved on .Our reserves went down today but with such a young side they tried really hard and made the Eagles earn their win pity the league side didnt show the same effort they wouldve beaten the league side today .

Good Luck to all five teams in the finals you deserve to be there .At least we have true SANFL clubs involved .

As for players moving on i would think Barreau would continue he showed improvement this year the others mentioned may not be and there will be others.

Kyle Presbury had easily his best season and deserves his selection

Congratulations to the Eagles .They have been amazingly consistent over the last 20 years rarely missing the finals.A credit to all concerned with the club.

Hopefully we can get players of league standard unfortunately we have picked up to many good reserves players who arent good enough for league footy .

Perhaps because we now have a new CEO

Has there ever been an organisation like the SANFL that constantly bend over and take it .I thought their role was to look after the Proper SANFL clubs not to protect the AFL tossers.The competition doesnt need either side that was shown is 2020.SANFL GUTLESS MUPPETS

Now the AFL draft is done hopefully we can pick up a few more recruits .

It was well documented we were far to small last year both in height and physically, we look to have improved in that area with who we have picked up, also Zac Beuchner in defence gives us some size as well.

The SANFL are gutless when it comes to the 2 AFL teams they can do what they like, when they like and the SANFL wont challenge them .Wouldnt be surprised if they make this a permanent arrangement after this season.
Duldig reckons they are protecting the integrity of the competition that disappeared when the 2 AFL teams came in .

Results of trial games generally mean nothing although for us hopefully it generates a bit of confidence in the boys .Will know a bit more in 2 weeks when the real stuff starts .

A few posters on here will be disappointed we got so close to South after they predicted at least a 10 goal loss .Cant question the effort or commitment of the boys today they tried their guts out and just couldnt quite get over the line.Whilst disappointing to lose if we play like that every week and have a crack thats all we can ask for and hopefully turn games into wins.

Im not concerned about a winning margin if, in fact we win .With the way he have gone in recent seasons be happy just to get a win and hopefully build from there.

Good effort bagging an opposition player

Why is this relevant to CDFC 2022.They play for the Eagles not us.

We dont have the talent admittedly but a loss like that is inexcusable and totally unacceptable and embarrassing. If anyone else besides Thommo was coaching us there would be questions asked.On that shambles today we will be lucky to not finish with the wooden spoon unless there is drastic improvement .
