Polec has said he is happy to come to whichever club can do Brisbane the best deal He has said nothing like that. He will announce he wants to be traded to Adelaide next week . But if deal can't get done. Crows will get him for nothing in the pre season draft
That "author" - and I use the term loosely" - failed to mention anything at all about all the non Port people, eg Kevin Sheedy, Leigh Matthews, as well as the non Port people on this forum, who can't believe the stupidity of this marketing gimmick.
So yes, that column is irrelevant, which pretty much sums up the Crows in the context of SA football history over the last 140 years.
Sounds like a lot of sooks around these days - Chris McDermott (strong Port man that he is), Gary McIntosh, not to mention John Halbert, Peter Motley, and the majority of the rest of the SA football community.

According to Sanderson their forward line is the envy of the AFL competition.
He also said they wil celebrate Reilly's 200th with a win when he makes his way back into the side one day.
I dont think he really meant for those comments to come across the way they did. I suspect he was trying to inject dome optimism after their loss against Melbourne.
However, I would think that he needs some type of media training, because at times he comes across as way out of his depth. Not to mention his lack-lustre game day efforts of late.
I think Collingwood will win by about 7 goals tonight.
The Eagles would go after Sandgroper Mason Shaw if they could - unless this lad wanted to desperately return to Perth (and I don't believe this is likely), there is no way we'd let him go though.
I think a Newton for Lycett swap would be reasonably likely to occur (with draft picks somehow thrown in as well), although I suspect the Eagles won't be as easy to trade with, compared to the Ebert trade a few years back.
Newton does get a lot of the ball, does seem to struggle a bit with disposal accuracy at the higher level at least, although this may be a case of requiring time to get accustomed to the speed of the game.
My apologies I haven't worked out/announced winner yet - I have been busy moving house the last few weeks - I will endeavour to get this comp sorted out soon.
It looks like grasshopper and Muffler both finished with 4 correct predictions - (if anyone notices any errors in my calculations, please PM me).
In order to break the tie, I'll do some further calculations in coming days, to see which of the 2 leaders came closest when taking into account predicted margins.
Rumours circulating that Port will open up the season with:
Fremantle (a), Tingles (a), Sydney (h), Hawthorn (h).
Could potentially start the season 1-3...
should start 4 - 0
port beat freo last time over there port seemingly way too good for the crows (source port propaganda radio) port to beat Sydney easily (seemingly if port had made the grandfinal they would have thrashed Sydney as well) - (source port propaganda radio) Port to beat Hawthorn easily (port only loss by 3 points at the mcg so playing them at home should win easily - (source port propaganda radio)
but seriously the hardest game there is freo over there but they did win last time. Don't Sydney and Hawthorn usually start slowly at the beginning
Yeah, there's no "propoganda" whatsoever from AFC- appointed Crows Ambassadors in the media such as Kym Dillon, Stephen Rowe etc etc.
Ask any neutral supporter in SA (ie. doesn't barrack for Port or the Crows), and they will tell you which club runs the propoganda machine in this state.
Yeah change agents is best bet, although presumably would have to wait until after the 3rd month, as I think most contracts signed between seller and agent are for 3 months?
Im not going to get into a debate about the individual cicumstances of both matters because thats not particularly apprppriate, but in terms of the sadness and sense of tragedy in losing someone from a favourite sporting team, a comparison can be made as to how it affects the individual.
