Mackay only left the ground once contact had been made

This is another Steve Hocking shocker

In saying that I think those photos are more damming.

He doesn't leave the ground but what he does do is bump a player who 'already' has possession rather than trying to tackle. The AFL don't like when players bump instead of tackling. Everything looks worse in still frame

Re: OAKSY Doggies Tips

There’s been a bit of a betting move on ours in the first today, tread warily, dog can run but is very prone to losing concentration.
If it puts in a run similar to its last one it’ll go close, but at $3.80 I’d say she’d be better off in your exotics.

Re: I need to know....

Whilst I agree with the above, what I don’t see is any incentive or benefit so far to those who actually have been vaccinated.

The restrictions, lockdowns, protocols are still being applied regardless of if you’ve had the jab.

Surely if you wanted increased take up, you’d give those vaccinated exemption from border restrictions or lockdowns etc? Correct weight.

We haven't been given any advice what mass population vaccination means.

Today's restrictions I feel are going to have a negative reaction with the public.

And apparently the shops are crazy, a mate has gone and she just said it's madness...

Re: AFL ROUND 16 ARE WE OR ARENT WE

Olympic hopeful, Connor Rozzee, has gone past becoming a flog, he is well and truly there. I used to like watching him play when he was finding his feet and understood his place in the game. He is now full of himself, this really grinds my gears especially when has achieved absolutely nothing in the game!!

100% agree

Has completed transformed himself into one of those players only fans of his team could like.

His personality seems to align with Ports inability to beat top four sides, they believe they are much better than they are. It seems Port are very adaptable to both the Diving of Summer Olympics and downhill skiers of the Winter Olympics.
That must be applauded[emoji3]

Re: AFL 2021

Media losing their heads over the Clarkson/Mitchell situation and TBH I don't really see why. Yes Clarkson's been a great coach and no doubt still would be, not many clubs have won a flag in each of the last 6 decades and if you were a Hawks fan surely you'd back them in again here?? They've made tough calls before and it's worked out. He is still the best coach going. Why would a club willingly give away its best asset??

Re: OAKSY Doggies Tips

Gawler

50th anniversary

r1 - 2 - aston hackett - a newcomer from VIC., who has the best t/d of this field, looks boxed nicely to land on the bunny and run away with this. think the $2.60 is more than acceptable.
the danger, if any, looks to be the 8, but with 1 win from 22, its not one to get carried away with.

r2 - 1 - moves from box 8 in its 2 career starts down to box 1. that will be an advantage for it. if it can replicate its last start from the boxes it will lead.
4 - criminal - know nothing about this, but lining up for its 4th start in 18 days - no thanks
8 - springvale cher - hasnt missed a drum over the t/d and overall is placed 23 from 39 starts. possibly rove the 8 for 2/3/4 in exotics if want to get creative.

r3 - Produce Consolation
four from the same litter super litter here in Fernando Bale x Victa Victoria in what has been a good story. tough race to work out.
happy to play the 6 crazy diva - isnt as one dimensional as some of the others here. but it needs to lob in the top 3 at the post and not be too far off the leaders. its the one dog here that I think will pick up the 2.
6 - currently $4.60 - think it will drift to $5+

r4 - over the 643m
1 - defy at the ripe old age of 4.5yrs looks well placed to go close here. placed 14 from 16 from box 1 - including the 8 wins. even if not quite the best to begin should punch up on the inside.
5 - sutton sandy looks the leader here, scr in 4 and the vacant boxes in 3,6 give it plenty of room to move, and shes only a small bitch so clear air will be vital early.
7 - couture - got smashed last start after jumping abnormally well. think it will struggle here being outside the 1.
8 - fantastic shell comes here with a fantastic record both overall and from box 8. box 8 is a concern from the bend, but it has class to overcome that.
1,8/1,8/5/7 f4 in order for interest

r6 - the feature race of the night, and it is a decent race on paper.

it really does look like Zipping Sultans race here. will jump on terms and muster through.
8 - canya go wild is well drawn out wide. it may miss any trouble drawn inside.
7 Rushes - always shows up in a final
6 - has good VIC form behind it. same owners as the 2.
has had a few starts here now, and has a bit of class behind it over the 7,8.
if Mister Harlewood can somehow find himself near the leaders at T!, he will be mightily hard to run down. just needs to beat the 4 out and not get carted wide.
win bet 2 - currently $1.70 - bit too short for me.
place heavy the 5. - $2.90 fixed, expect to drift.

r7 - 2 - rilynn bale - has absolute panels on these. $1.40 short enough but, if it travelled well it looks too good.

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)

Listened to the ABC on the radio on the way home. One caller made the point that by calling these restrictions "not a lockdown", the SA govt has effectively denied non-essential workers access to federal govt assistance packages. So for the better part of a week, at least, some folks have nothing to live on. Not that any place worth spending money on will be open...

Only a small thing, but my wife's nail chick rang her in tears tonight as she cannot work for the rest of the week and asked if she could go over tonight to get her nails done instead of the appointment on Friday, this whole thing is depressing enough without having to think about your business and livelihood.

Yep, the Mrs was building up her nails business at home and this week was about to be her biggest week...
Just deflating.
Hopefully everyone will be able to be rescheduled for next week.

Wanker goal umpire alert.

Terrible by Rodan.

Laughable comment

You say "Terrible" decision and yet with all the technology available they still couldn't determine whether it was before or after the line
So how the F**K can you bag the Goal Ump ?

Some of the posts on here are as crap as the standard of the match.

If Port were playing a top 8 side they'd be 6 goals down by now.
Port have the least threatening forward line of a top 8 team i've seen.
Why do they keep playing Marshal ? Just a serious liability
Delivery into forward line is shocking The decision is similar to Jimmy Jacques at Globe Derby....

Re: Coronavirus (Covid19)
Sounds like training to resume but no sport for at least 7 days

Confirmed or just guessing?

Confirmed
https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/coronavirus/sports-training-to-resume-after-lockdown-in-sa-but-competition-to-remain-on-hold/news-story/41d6300c6b52677996d214baa573aad5?amp
Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has explained why sporting clubs will be allowed to resume training when lockdown lifts – but won’t be allowed to compete.

Sporting clubs will be allowed to resume training when lockdown lifts on Wednesday, but competition will remain on hold until further notice.

Police Commissioner Grant Stevens said restricting teams from competition would minimise contact between people from different areas of the city and state.

“The difference (between training and competition) is that, if you’re training, you’re training with a group of people that you normally come into contact with,” he told ABC Radio Adelaide on Tuesday.

“When you allow teams to compete, they invariably come from different parts of the wider metropolitan area or different country locations to compete together.

“You’re bringing different communities together, which means, if we do have an outbreak, the potential spread is much wider than if you just have it within a group of people who normally get together.”

Mr Stevens said he was hopeful that the state could keep “moving in the right direction”, and the rules were being worked out in consultation with the Department for Recreation and Sport.

“We think it’s the right step at this point in time, but we’re really hopeful that, over the next seven days, we continue to keep on top of this Modbury outbreak and we don’t see any further seeping from New South Wales,” he said.

AFL was also put on hold during the state’s seven-day lockdown.

Adelaide had been due to take on Hawthorn at Adelaide Oval this weekend, but the game was brought forward and instead played in at an empty Marvel Stadium in Melbourne last Saturday.

Mr Stevens said he had not been involved in any conversation about re-starting footy in the state this weekend.

“My last understanding was that both Adelaide teams were currently out of Adelaide and planning to play their next round out of Adelaide as well,” he said.

What about golf? Is that on?
Golf is back.
