Re: R12 Eagles v Glenelg Sunday 1335

I'm not sure what the issue is with McBean. I love watching him play, one of my fav players outside of my club. Would have him at North in a heartbeat.
I am in total agreement with that summation.
My only complaint with McBean is that he shouldn't be playing in the SANFL. There are many, many inferior footballers in the AFL system.
North chased him when he first was delisted by Richmond, I wish that we had got him.
The year he took off to travel OS was the best thing he ever did. Came back in such a better frame of mind & his footy since has reflected that.

Re: AFL media

Does anyone actually watch "Bounce" on Sunday nights?

Mooney and Vince are awful.
The kids love it so we have it on. Plus there’s not much else on after the last match on Sunday.
Definitely not the same without Spud. Dunstall & Gazey are good value, Mooney is dumb as a box of hammers, Vince & that painful Sharni Norder are not much better. Simon O’Donnell was very good when he used to be on.

Re: R14 WWT v West Saturday 1410

Despite the wiggles having upwards of 28 premiership players from last year out, having to debut 32 new players this season & having one of their players in Poole allegedly raped by a South player last week (refer to SA vs WWT thread), they shouldn’t have any problems over coming Westies who are, put simply - putrid.

Re: I need to know....

only manslaughter?

Are you thinking it should be murder?

If so, Murder is the deliberate act of killing someone and manslaughter applies if someone is killed in unlawful circumstances but the accused didn't intend to kill.
Either way, he’s taken a blokes’ life by his own actions. He leaves behind a partner, a daughter who will be born without a father, parents who will never get over this & many friends.

A colleague and I were discussing our favourite George and Mildred moments, although neither of us had seen the show for 30+ years we both knew what each other were on about.

I have now started watching it from scratch.
Good stuff, but Man About The House is decidedly better. George and Mildred had devolved into stereotypes by the time they got their own series. Got a few DVDs of MATH at home, and Robin's Nest too.
Surely Love Thy Neighbour is getting a run too…

Re: R17 Glenelg v Centrals Saturday 2.10

Nice to see Hosie & Stretch coming back through the Magoos.
Hopefully cherry ripe come finals.
Yep, will provide the team with a Boost in seeking premiership Bounty, Moro less. Getting a spot in that Bay side won't be a Picnic, though.

I can hear the snickers at that, but the shrinking violets crumble at those puns
I too have heard the Snickers from opposition supporters who Whip themselves into a frenzy hoping we Flake in the finals despite being Breakaway leaders all year. But when it comes to the Crunch I reckon we’ll be Top Deck & I’ll Twirl in the Streets.
