That was the general consensus at the pub last night, a lot of people wanted to go but we're insulted by the price.

It's only $30 for an adult and considerably cheaper for child and concession

Adults are actually $36.50 at the gate.
Agree with all of the above, I know heaps of people its putting off including myself.
They potentially could get 10k more if they made it $20 and would make so much more money.
Its a ridiculous price considering how many they're giving away and the fact about 14,000 get in for free already too who dont support the SANFL

I have noticed this over the last 7 years, We can't afford it guys....

I dropped my membership with my club because to me it seemed, they only wanted my wallet...

Hey, how about a free beer to all members when you win a flag.

It doesn't happen often, hahaha it happened every year there for a while... :D

Agree with Wedgetail. I now think Giles Ellis is a monty to get the nod ahead of Appleton.
Whittlesea is a must for reasons I have stated before.
Interchange: Whittlesea, Sinor and Ellis.

Apparently a very poor turnout at Rundle Mall for the GF teams.

Thats because they cant draw a crowd. Not sure they will get a decent one this year either.
Last week attracted 5k to a Prelim and they were that overwhelmed by the numbers that they ran out of food and drink by half time

With the AFL circus out of town this week you would expect a reasonable turnout.

Perhaps.
Williamstown dont have a huge base after being dicked around by AFL sides over the last few years. Hopefully plenty get behind them as a stand alone side now. Box Hill dont have a big following although they might get a few who want to see the AFL guys running around

@Dogwatcher did you get a leave pass?

The Seagulls have had a massive social media push the past couple of weeks with the #westandalone, maybe that will drag them out of the woodwork.

I went to Port Melbourne Oval last year to see Willy v Werribee Final, admittedly it wasn't the Grand Final but there were very few supporters/crowd. Most of the Seagulls fans were a few 60+ Old Aged Pensioners (seems common with the colours ;) ). I would be surprised if many actually accessed Social Media :)

Would have loved to be able to attend this grand final. But Sunday? First week of the school holidays too. No way.
I reckon the fact that it's on a Sunday will keep a few away.
I think the fact the AFL circus is still on will stop thousands more getting that extra footy fix the weekend after the AFL grandfinal.
Whatever they get today, you could add about an extra 10,000 for a proper Saturday grandfinal the weekend after the AFL has finished.
