Sturt leading South, 16 minutes 3rd quarter. 7:4 to 2:8
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Who really gives a toss about the game at Alberton or any other game against the TWO AFL DROSS i have not been to Alberton since 2013 after the bona fide MAGPIES were killed off.

Yes as a footy supporter who loved to go to Albie was even their with my Maggie mate the day Scotty Hodges kicked 14 goals yep the good old days loved to see a great contest against the SANFL MAGPIES alas all those halcyon days are over and finished.

AFL DROSS Crows and Power .

FAARRRKK OFFF OUT OF OUR SANFL !!!!!!

South exposed by a much better team today. South just don't have the cattle to trouble the top teams. We MAY just squeak into 5th place at years end, but we needed to have recruited better in the offseason to do any better than that.

Well done Sturt on a good win.

We are pretenders and definetly wont be a factor come finals time.

Port will flog south next week. Will be a small crowd and im not sure I'll bother.

Oh come on fellas, one defeat
South are better then North, West, Centrals, Glenelg! Adelaide Reserves, so that's 5th spot sewn up without trying. And I'd argue that you are on par with Norwood and Sturt (despite the loss today). Who knows about Port Adelaide Reseves as it depends if they are in the Goldilocks zone when you play them. That leaves Woodville West Torrens, who by all accounts are the best outfit in the league this year.

Chin up eh, you could be supporters at the other end of the compass ;)

Yep, I still think South are the best side we have played this year. Lack a little bit of depth but on their day they are a more than capable

Unfortunately it wasn't listed in the Sunday Mail.

Well done to the 1700 Sturt fans and the odd South supporters.... ;)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Weak performance by South today. One of the worst I have seen in some time.
Sturt played us like last years final - hit us very hard and we sadly went into our shells. Sturt way too physical one on one against us.
Sturt will come back from here. Riley really gives them that hardness and we seem to hate it.

Some very soft efforts witnessed today by South. Liddle battled his guts out with little help from his team mates.
Some players with question marks over their name at selection with a few boys due to come back from ressies.
(Good first win by ressies today)

Still looking ok but the next 3 weeks we will see where the South Adelaide Football Club stand - next 3 games - Port, Eagles and Norwood.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Poor performance from the home side yesterday. Played with very little fluency, looked as though they had cobbled together 21 guys who didn’t know each other. Chipped around and went nowhere.

Sturt were harder at the footy and used it better in a game that didn’t reach any great heights.

Would hate to the see the ‘contested’ marks and ‘marks inside 50’ stats, especially for the first 3 quarters. Just couldn’t win an aerial contest.

Need to respond next week against the paps.

Good to wear the tie to work today, whilst not one for the ages we'll take the win.

Judging buy the posters on this thread, looks like the Eagles lost.....

Sorry Champ but only saw the first quarter before leaving for other commitments, don't really feel qualified to comment on the game with that limited viewing. Eags well and truly beaten by the looks of it though.
