Ugh, decide to stay home today and see Port v West is on TV. Who the hell chooses these games, this would be the last game today I'd want to see.
Also good to see no live video streams on today, the one thing the SANFL did right last year they hardly do this year. Idiots!
Oh well, V8s and AFL for me today, way to promote your product SANFL!

Im sure Big Phil will have some valid reason to defend his employer.
Wonder what the heirachy at Centrals think of BP becoming a SANFL stooge

Big Phil has for the time I have known him always been a passionate promoter of the SANFL competition.

He is responsible (and given this responsibility at VERY short notice) to put together and roster a team of commentators to fill the hole with RPH's departure.

Overall I think he has done a great job in getting a strong team together.

He is not responsible for the TV contract nor what games are televised.

Any SANFL club would be glad to have him as one of their members.

Would have liked your post if not for the second to last line. Noone even came close to suggesting that.

I disagree Wedgie ....
your post was re the TV coverage
DOOL then quoted your post and got stuck into Big Phil .... so if no one else, he at least is making the link.

Rubbish mate, you need to read it again, he was just saying Big Phil would defend the SANFL because of his connections.
While I haven't said if I agree with what he said noone said Big Phil decides the TV coverage. You've grabbed one of then longest craziest straws I've ever seen on here with that one.

Staying on topic, I enjoyed Big Phil's commentary yesterday but can I suggest when North (or South) are playing that he not refer to the southern goals as the North goals as its a bit confusing and without video we have no idea which end of the ground it is. Perhaps Roosters goal instead?

Apparently its costs too much, however they covered 3 games today of the SA Country Championships in Port Lincoln via live stream which was excellent coverage. Seeing the SANFL are baulking at using the service would be great to see more use of it in grass roots Grand Finals etc
