I'll remember them fondly as a great foe and a the team that provided me with my most favourite SANFL memories. I'll certainly miss the Sturt v Port matches, but alas, the AFL reserves decision has killed off the competition as a whole iMHO, not just the Magpies.

You can think what ever you want to, you can even make yourself feel like a hero by calling me a retard but if you want the facts here they are.

Port Adelaide magpies full fixture for 2014.
http://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/sanfl/ ... nd-results

Look there is even a page on the SANFl website saying that the Port Adelaide magpies are still alive.
http://www.sanfl.com.au/clubs/port_adelaide_magpies/

Buy the propaganda for now because you want to.
But the Maggies are gone in all but name, and the name will be gone over the next few years.
The SANFL will (I expect) expire a little later, and that will be the ultimate end of the process that began with Port trying to join the VFL out of self-aggrandisement, and triggering the formation of the Crows. :(

It's not propaganda its the truth. The Port Adelaide Magpies are playing in the SANFL in 2014. There is no team called Port Adelaide Power playing in the SANFL. If you can prove otherwise then I think we have come to the conclusion that the Port Adelaide Magpies are not dead.

Ummm....

The Magpies still exist. The 'real PAFC' will have a team in the AFL and the SANFL this year.

Deal with it.

Yes, the 'real PAFC' will still have a reserves side in the SANFL league competition in 2015.

Still can't believe some people think the magpies are alive. Sorry, but making the magpies (no matter if they are called the magpies or not) a reserves team ensures they are dead. RIP to the greatest and most successful football club in Australia. The SANFL wll never be the same.

Or one with at least half a brain who understands the facts. I'm still not sure if a couple on here are trolling or just plain stupid.

Blackwhite you must be the only astute former Magpies supporter on this site its a shame some delusional fans still do not know that there now is
a difference between the former SANFL Magpies and the new AFL Power Reserves side.

For forty years I loved going to Alberton to see my team play against the Magpies alas from this year i will not set foot there again to watch a AFL Power reserves side.

We are sorely going to miss that feeling of playing against a Magpie side.

The same applies to the AFL Crows Reserve side I simply will not attend.

Yeah Wedgie a bit of both I reckon !!!

"Rumours and Player Movement Discussion for 2014". Some people have started a rumour the original Port Adelaide is still around and the facts have been pointed out to them that that rumour is incorrect.
So in fact the admins post is a lot more on topic than yours.

Yes Wedgie you are right this is the biggest rumour of the year so far. DO the Magpies really exist or is it the figment of some delusional AFL Power fans imagination that is the question !!!!

The topic title clearly states Rumours and Player Movement", not "Rumours of Player Movement".
Can I suggest you pm me anything further you need cleared up as you're getting off topic.
