:o :D

Terrific news. I've never been so happy to be wrong. Central players DO return to CDFC from the Offal (AFL). :prayer:

Please don't tease about Daniel that would be the icing on the cake!

How's that for positive Centurion (aka GMcG) and Northerner. I'm so HAPPY!!

Sweet Geezus, I did inform people on here on the 25th of Feb he'd be playing for Centrals in 2019 and even requoted it 8 days ago.
I'm constantly amazed how slow people are.

Much can happen in footy, on and off the field, but awesome that this expectation has evolved into an actual signing. However, good early call.

Szust out of South to Norwood.

It appears Wright has a split playing group. It is a shame to see young home grown talent wanting to leave due to Wright's inability to communicate.

Another top 5 player to go once the ink is dry elswhere.

You were merely speculating.

Man, its pretty obvious you have some sort of vendetta or issue with Wright.

Some players are returning to South too (Jake Veide, Emmanuel Irra).

Players do leave clubs at the end of the year for a change of environment or a better opportunity (just letting you know this!)

Between TTG and Adelaide's SANFL side? Yeah, massive.

I was surprised as I rate South highly, but Ive heard exactly what vics has, Wright intent on some big signings from interstate while local talent has been ignored.

If Veide at 29 or 30 is a positive and Szust at 21 is a negative I will go he.

Bangers and Gotch did wonderful things to develop local talent. Wright will screw it.

Yeah you are right I think Wright is a dishonest lying flog who is coaching several levels above his ability.

That aside if you think about how Hawthorn have stayed so successful you would not have the mates rates that Wright has going. He was hoping for a quick fix flag.

So called bi name recruits will come take the money and leave when they get a better offer.

Have happily given time and handed over $$ to support South, so when I see what has happened in the last 12 months, I can only be honest about what I saw happen.

From an outsider looking in, Wright appeared to do a stellar job in this first year. After a number of departures, he introduced some new faces and led South to wins against every other team in the comp (except Westies).

The following “youngsters” played senior footy for the first time in 2018:

Coleman (2 games)
Elmes (1)
Fitt (15)
Helyar (2)
Irra (3)
Kappler (6)
Krueger (13)
Noble (18) via WA
Sampson (2)

Szust played 15 games, including the final.

Interesting times ahead perhaps..

There are no "big" signings from interstate, We have a number who are interested which is like every year.

Local talent has been nurtured, not ignored.

All clubs lose some players. Our ability to keep our better players over the last 5 years has been great. Way way better than the previous 50 years.

My question is why did Cody Szust leave (if indeed he has). Further to this, if there is an exodus of players because of a coach that could just about do it for me, after many years we are finally seeing great talent come through the club and have stability thereby our future looks bright but if a coach comes in and buggers that up then i'am buggering off!

Nick Liddle acceptance speech at 5th Knuckey cup win

"The club is in great shape. In fact, whilst we haven't put pen to paper, yet, Crossy, Crabby and I will be going around again next year. There are fantastic kids coming through".

Sound like its buggered up? I repeat . ALL clubs lose players. These guys are not professionals. Sometimes circumstance, such as working on the other side of Adelaide will make players look for something closer to home.
