That bar which runs alongside the northern car park is definitely older than most - nothing wrong with that though.
I realise the Past Players had to move but that was always a highlight of going to Ruchmond.

I think the new past players setup at Richmond is better at least you can watch the game....

Norwood has the Premiers Bar where we can have a few drinks during the game and admire our Premiership Cups.
We have a facility the NorEast that contributes $500,000 regularly each year.
Unlike other clubs Norwood does not have a high overhead liability loosing money every year.
Norwood will have a clubroom in the next few years but no need to rush into debt in this economic climate.
Makes me laugh that the clubs with the fancy club rooms are almost broke and may yet still may not survive. North Adelaide excepted.

Having said that I think West Adelaide have good club rooms. Not seen Glenelg's.

says a lot about you.

A four team comp would take SANFL back to your most successful era though.

When you think of the complete absence of success South have had since moving to Noarlunga I think the club has done alright with its finances. If South ever played 3 or 4 years of finals footy in a row it would be interesting to see what type of coin they would generate. (This statement is made with the strict advisement that no South supporters hold there breath)

So an increase of two on what we've got now then?

They have done very well and it's a complete turnaround from their previous pauper status thankfully.

But's let's face reality, having poker machines in the outer south as well as a massively generous state government getting them established down there were the two keys. No major mystery to why they're financial.

Not sure that South are as financial sound as they would like to be.
The state Government leased the land to the club, yes, sure- but very little else.
All the improvements currently in place have been added by the club, yes -sure the odd grant here and there but nothing substantial.
The club is currently beholding to the bank for near on $4 mill, and lost 140k last financial year.
Whilst not in the parlous state of some other clubs, who have next to zero net assetts; I think its fair to say that South are treading water at best at the moment.

The Cambridge room (after match functions/clubroom) has been referbished. No tap beer but its an excellent space which has the look and feel of a footy club's club rooms as oposed to an airport waiting lounge (South IMO). Give it a try this season, I recon you'll like it.

Wedgie wrote:North's was done up a year or two ago, its one of, if not the best for historical material in it.
Those who I've taken up to the Old Grandstand now glassed off area will agree that will be the best in the league once they've moved up there.
Centrals is the best but the distance from the ground is a pain. Great areas, range of bars, space, etc.
Glenelgs is good, great now they've opened it up.
South's are a great view but for some reason, have felt outdated really quickly.
Wests and Sturts are a trip back to the 70s, Sturts very ordinary with no tap beer.
Norwood if they have some will be the best as they'll serve Coopers!
Eagles is pretty good but feels old too.
Never been in Port's.

Ours would be the best except for having Centurion in it *winks*

Can't say I have ever been into Norwoods clubrooms where are they located?

Id take Premierships and no clubrooms over clubrooms and no success anyday.
Couldnt care less if we had clubrooms but I do like the setup at South and the Bay

Where are the premierships cups kept?

We have plenty of room at Noarlunga if you need to store any ;)

You'll never need it!

North's new glassed-off grandstand is excellent, the perfect place to get a cut lunch. Just be careful walking down those steps.
