Jars isn't the smartest bloke going around but surely even he wouldn't want that job?

About as smart as some of the ill informed on here, considering he's applied for the job at least once previously.

Yes he admitted he has applied for it. Went for the job but Massie got the gig

He did also stick his hand up for an SA cricket coaching job as well, he obviously likes a rabble.

I don't know about chasing a flag. He had already won one at North and North won another two seasons after he left. Even in his first year at Norwood, Norwood finished fifth and North third.

He did win a flag after his Crows career with Norwood, but I always thought that he left North because of differences with the coach. Yet now he has nothing but good to say about that coach.

He left Prospect at the end of '89 (after winning North's B&F IIRC) to play one year at Norwood before the Crows formed.
He returned to the Parade after Blight arrived at West Lakes and cleaned out all the dead wood. He didn't change clubs "chasing a flag" as North at the time were far more regarded challengers than Norwood.
To say he eventually achieved this in '97 after North had won another in '91, is at best, a stretch.

Go easy on the Norwood fans Spargo, they only "discovered" the SANFL in 2012....

Norwood were not a rabble when Andrew Jarman played for them
So your reply is either wrong or your just being stupid
Take your pick

Would love to see Jars coaching again in the SANFL, He certainly would add a bit of passion and flair as he did at North. 8)

That is very much missing from the competition, right now.
The SANFL needs some characters that are promotable and who will promote the competition and gain it some additional prominence.

Yes, and no.

Promotion we need, clowns we don't. For instance, footy followers have worked out that Brian Taylor calling the game is putrid and he's been moved on. We want quality, not a (bad) court jester.

Only discovered it in 2012?

We'd been cheating it for ages before then.

I vividly remember bays fans waving wooden spoons around at us in 2004 ;)

He couldn't have known the Crows were forming and to a degree he was chasing a flag at that time, just didnt turn out any better off in that respect.

But it was definitely a big $ trade, and that would have been %90+ of the reason, no question. (Norwood splashed some decent cash at the time, *cough* Doug Smart).

Worth every penny though for Jarman:

- Brought us a transfer fee
- Won a Magarey
- Won a Premiership
