Not now but it was going to be tough if it was a loss as I mentioned. Such a close season . Port smashed Sturt but just not on the score board. I was passing judgement on how Sturt have been playing and today was their first four quarter game I think. You would know more than me re injuries. I assume Harms will be close .

We still lack a key forward and i don't think we'll win the flag without one. Have never replaced Beard. It's quite remarkable we've remained competitive and in the finals race with the players we've lost the last 3 years and not much recruiting. Top win today and a happy 100th for Riley

Our final 4 games are: Eagles, Norwood, Port and Glenelg.
A tough run home. On the other hand,been need those clubs to lose if we're to move up the ladder. So our fate is in our own hands.

Completely outplayed by Sturt (again), who were tougher and played a more direct style of footy. South fumbly all afternoon in good conditions and marks inside their forward 50 were non existent.

The club named Davis, Haines, Karpany and Liddle as their best. Sturt's forward line caused headaches for South all afternoon, tall timber Josh Patullo impressive.

The umps were actually OK and was a decent crowd by Noarlunga standards.

Saintal , Davis is a great player . AFL bound ?

He was at Sydney, perhaps a Rookie? Not sure he would be taken again.

That said never thought we would loose, Knoll,

Or McLean.

Or Brooksby, again.

Sturts pressure and hardness at the ball killed us again !!!
South soft as butter imo and hated the pressure and physical presence of Sturt.
Sturt wanted to win more with fighting for a spot in the 5.

South forward line unseen all day. Delivery poor into the forward line too.

At our best we are a good side but when that light switch is not on ... we look very bloody ordinary!!!

I think we are will lose our spot in the 5.

Next 3 games - Eagles (home) Legs (away) and Port (home)...

Need to get our $h1t together or another long summer awaits !!!

I suspect that figure (i know you are quoting the SANFL) is wrong. I thought a little over 2000. The ground had no power until half time and this may have stuffed up the counting.

It looked about the same as the Norwood game which I think was around 2000.

Yep, was a 2K crowd from my observations

It had no Power until late 3rd quarter of the league and my ticket was scanned and the number on the hand held scanner was working.

Might be an idea for the sanfl officials arrive in time to get everyone before they enter......

Thought the guys were pretty good last Sunday - IMHO South weren't terrible, we just had one of those days

Was good to see a guy like Edmund who did make a couple of mistakes early but made up for it later and some of those things wont appear on any stat sheet.
Surely there is an AFL club out there who could fit Abe Davis on their list. He continues to improve his running capacity, his contested work is first class and at times you forget he is an onballer given that he is such a big man. I await the next draft and rookie draft with interest

He's a huge talent, main failing for me is he doesn't bend at the knees for the ball as well as he could. Too many balls get spilled or run over.
