IIRC the current CEO jacked the price up from ~$8 to $12 a few years back because the $8 devalued the experience (or some BS like that)

Numbers may be wrong but it was stupid. The attendance figures plummeted

I can only go on Friday nights but wont be paying $20. They can FO big time.
Got to wonder whether these people are still living in the 70's - 80's

Just on the vision, the screen by the scoreboard at Norwood is terrible.
I reckon they only film games for the coaching staff because the vision is only slightly closer than real life

The use of Dartfish or some other video capture software to show replays after goals shouldnt be too hard

People aren’t coming so let’s make it more expensive and see if they come.

When I was in my teens and early 20s I used to go to Norwood matches regularly, but when I graduated in Medicine in the late 1960s I was too busy to fit it in. Mostly, I just listened to SANFL matches on the radio when I could. When I moved to Melbourne in 1999 I couldn't even do that, and joined this site to keep in touch. When I returned to Adelaide from Melbourne in 2009 I took out Norwood membership but was too busy to get to more than a few matches.

Now that I can't even watch replays on TV when I have time, I have drifted away and my interest has diminished through unfamiliarity with the players. TV replays at least kept my interest alive even when I couldn't get to many matches. Now my new wife since 2019, who is an actress, theatre board member, and former TV Producer, as well as an active Rotarian, keeps me occupied with free theatre tickets and events in that area.

I tend to agree that putting up entry prices may put off even more people who may have other interests as well, but could attend some matches if motivated by retaining some familiarity with the teams and players by TV replays.

Will be free for crowies and ports AFL members.

Essential Crows, Essential Power and Ultimate Football Members can scan their card at any SANFL game and get in.

Other crows/port members can only use their card for their matches.

Obviously the SANFL do not want anyone to attend games. Walk up to the gate and purchase a ticket will cost $20.00! They have got to be joking!
Below is from the SANFL website. Note sure if this has been updated for 2023?
The SANFL Adults $18, Concession $11 and Under 18s free! You can purchase online through the home club’s website, then just print this ticket or download it to your smartphone. And if you can’t manage to buy online, tickets are still available at the gate – Adults $20, Concession $12 and Under 18s are still free.

Also, they do not recognize the Seniors Cards, it does not entitle the bearer to a concession ticket.
Obvoiulsy they are satisfied with the low attendances each week,

Correct - concession is not a Seniors Card :(
Its a pension or health card

I reckon the last time I paid at the gate it was $5 or $7.
Get a membership with a season pass, works out to about $7 a game still and the money goes to your club.

Any feedback that can be passed on to improve the coverage @Arry Gablett?

Actually the Eagles v Norwood game Friday night was the best coverage I’ve seen on SANFL games best commentary .
Over the years it’s been absolute crap

Yep, Norwood the same.

The real value has gone these days.

I have no issue paying this for a season ticket I know I’ll use also knowing 100% of this money goes to my club.

North's is $200 including membership and season pass.
Considering a membership normally costs $70 it works out at about $6.50 a game.

I paid $275 for my Centrals season ticket - which includes SANFL Now access (and, with that, digital editions of the Budget every week).

That's roughly $15.25 a game, with a Budget included, and easy access to live/on demand matches (the AFL app is good if you're watching on your phone but only supports AirPlay for casting on to a TV).

Plus, 100% of the money going to the club. Still a worthwhile investment IMO.
