Plenty of rumours but can anyone confirm?
Surly the legal proceedings with it have ended?

Gazz knows.

Its fairly common knowledge amongst supporters what the 'rumours' are.

Problem being we are only hearing one side of the story and that being from the 'winners'. We know who history is written by.....

All this rumour and innuendo re Andrews.

Anyone would've thought he'd taken the Dogs on a pre-season camp to the Gold Coast! [emoji38]

Wtf ???

I heard this was his decision and wasnt moved on. Probably sick of playing 2s and had a few injuries last 3-4 years so cant really get a good run at it.

He played 13 of 18 league matches this season under Thomas, was one of our best players last week and won the coaches award for the game. Only played 4 league games and 10 reserves games last year with Andrews as coach - ended up winning our reserves B&F. He was 6th B&F for our league side in 2018, but had injuries in 2019. Has played 59 league and 32 reserves games in total.
A pretty fair record for a bloke who turned 24 a few months ago. I hope he reconsiders.

He's off to the ammos for $1,500/game, how do we contend with this shit.

No winners here, it cost the club big coin that we can't afford.

If it cost the club does that mean they loss the case or paid out Andrew’s?

I think they paid him out, around the $100,000 I've heard.

How can any sanfl club afford that?
I guess if you move someone on while contracted that’s what happens.

Maybe it's being paid in terms? Dunno, it mightn't be true.

You would think that meant Andrew’s dismissal was found to not be justified by whoever ruled on it or alternatively the clubs legal advice was they didn't have a strong enough case and a payout to Andrews was the best option moving forward.

If he had done something so bad I’m sure there would have been a clause allowing him to be dismissed without pay.

If the $100k figure is true I think the club needs to come out and tell supporters the full story here because that is a disgrace if we cost ourselves $100k. That's probably where all the donated money has gone.

Maybe the club can't reveal the full details, for legal reasons.

If media outlets can report on murder cases I'm sure there is a way the club can keep the paying members informed even if its just stating that yes there was a settlement with Andrews, the club believes this was the best way moving forward etc etc.

Surely any kind of payout will have to sit in the EOFY P&L's so will become visible then anyway so best giving some clarity around it.

Do you still need to pay transfer fees when signing players. Hard to see us being able to afford to do that if the reported $100k is true. Paying two coaches $100k to finish 8th and to feel like we have gone backwards...……brilliant. You couldn't make this shit up. Imo all because a few assistant coaches got their knickers in a knot.

Agree..

Club has acted extremely poor IF the donation money was used or influenced the decision to sack and payout Andrews.

Yes I know when you donate you were donating to the running costs of the club but as Booney said that wouldn't have been in many peoples mind as to how they wanted the money invested.

I strongly believe if the board cant come out and clarify whether there was a payment made or not and whether the donated money assisted to the payment then they should all be removed.

I, obviously, have no vested interest, but I'd agree, if the club has used monies gained by charitable means to pay out a coach and then has lost the legal battle to disclose the reasons why they've acted quite inappropriately.

FWIW Centrals reserves 42 to WA 16 at 1/2 time. Good to see 2 of the lesser teams this year at least playing off in a finals series. WA also in U18 prelim.
