To quote Warren Partland from the Advertiser on 5RPH's coverage half time of South v North tonight talking about the West v Central game - "No Buckets no Dogs" !!??

Got stuck into Central for last nights performance (rightly so) and was scathing toward the Dogs ruck brigade...

He didn't want to name names but Warren also made mention he felt that there have been a few Premiership players for Central that have been 'carried' by others and need to have a good hard look at themselves, particularly after last night.

The Snail has spoken !!!

I reckon Partland is on the payroll at Elizabeth ,he says this most years.

The correct answer is either:

a) there
b) they're
c) their

only one can be selected.

Of course, they generally have one every year...

Last year against Sturt, a couple of seasons ago at Unley and a 80+ point hiding from the Eagles at Woodville about 4 years ago...

The point Partland made was that this 'annual' bad game the Dogs produce either game about 6 or 8 weeks in or a month out from finals as they ramp up their training.

There were some signs there last night that in my eyes that wouldn't have pleased Roy Laird and the Club.

Just ignore Warren's comments most people do. He is a paid up member of the Dogs I believe. He kept pumping up the Tigers Tyres before the 08 GF to motivate Centrals. (True Story)

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

I am not saying the dogs are gone way to early to say that .
I went to city mazda last night and watched as an interested observer.
While both teams made fundamental errors the dogs made more .you could see this going on all night .A strong backline taking the ball looking up and seeing only red and black .It appeared there was very little on field leadership .There was plenty of anger at one and other .
I waited like the dogs fans for something to happen for the dogs it didnt happen .
While west were 80 to 90% faster not all players were.In the last quarter one of Wests taller players (CHB I think) went to pick the ball up .He had three dogs players within arms length of him .It was like watching a replay in slow motion .the wests guy was that slow but the centrals players made him look super fast .That was the dogs night in a nutshell.
I'm not writing them off not just yet .Plenty of time left in the season for the dogs !
But seems many dogs fans behind me all got up and left at 3/4 time !!
But dont forget teams like West South Port etc are harder to beat in the early rounds !!

Exactly right, and after making his point about the Dogs, was very quick to appropriately praise the Bloods for their win...

i am sure the doggies will bounce back on the field its off the field that would be a concern. With all their success why cant they attract more members and decent crowds at games ?
