That may be the case but still no excuse for a loss like that .20-15 to 3 -7 after early in the first qtr .

A couple of positives from the weekend:
The Ressies turned around a 10 goal loss to Sturt just two weeks ago to win today.
The U16s also had a win, with a goal after the siren.

That really was pretty terrible, wasn't it. In a crowded field it was the stupid free kicks given away that annoyed the most - like rolling into Sturt players' backs when they were already on the ground. Probably shouldn't have been paid, but no need to do it either. The first half was genuinely hard to watch, so much so I tuned out of the second. The final score indicates that to have been a good call.

That's why im so disappointed Andrews didn't work out...………...he tried to change the boys club assistant coaching panel and then it all fell apart despite okish results.

Supposedly there were off field issues associated with Andrews but funnily enough that information coming from within the club is coming from the 'boy club' and nothing official has ever been stated by the club.

Sounds to me like we have developed a rotten culture...………..hopefully Edwards can sort it out and isn't just here to top up the retirement fund at his old club.

That was the argument when Laird and Grant were in charge... they have gone FYI.
Since Thommo took over he brought in Nick Russell and Sam Milne as assistants.
Only two still on the regular coaching panel from Roys tenure is Jeff Brown and Mark Watts (who had only just joined the year before)...hardly a "Club".

No organisation is going to air their dirty laundry when these things go down, but it doesn't mean they dont have good reason to make the decisions they make.

It's all irrelevant white noise anyway.
We have had poor results with our youth development for years (due to a non productive metro area and a country area that is strong enough to be a desirable option for their local youngsters). And we are not close to the beaches or cafes which are nice caveats for potential recruits.
Anyone with immediate solutions for these issues, please contact Megsy....

Stop blaming the coach, try and be real supporters, it's the players fault.

I'm not sure any of us have the solutions but the biggest issue being what has the club actually done to try and improve the situation. We've seen the Eagles build relationship with job networks, yet we are still pleading on facebook for fans to give recruits a job.

From an outside perspective it appears the club has not done much more than whinge about the situation but actually not implement to many actions. I do know as fact the club blew a relationship that was hiring casually 3 players a season because they thought that should got exclusive a free hire at the expense of the local community who pays for the community asset.

Ill accept I'm on the outside though but the club doesn't seem to communicate a whole lot to members.

Yeah ill go its 50/50 between players and football administration (not just the coach)

Ultimately our club is recruiting players and developing juniors who simply aren't up to it, there not of regular SANFL standard. Our club is putting footballers in a position they really aren't up to...……...the players should be bringing effort that is a non negotiable but is it really there fault there getting league games when they are not really league footballers.

When I watch us play I see a bunch of guys who are undersized, under strengthed, under skilled busting their guts out at a level to high for them. Even our best players fall into some of those categories. Schiller brothers are guns but very much undersized gun, there my height five foot nothing, Presbury is 30kg wet. The club has failed to address the same problems year after year....is that the players faults.

His been at the club two minutes and thinks he can tell the fans there not true supporters. Most of those blokes posting did it tough for 30 odd years before our first premiership and they haven't seen a worse side than the current one. Him telling the fans 'you're all not true supporters' is bloody rich.

And now we have Paul Thomas responding to posts as well but not really in a constructive manner. Surely his been in the game long enough to know that when results like this year happen people are going to ask questions or be critical. To be fair the comments aren't even that bad other than 'the team has gone backwards', 'is Thomas the right man', 'Thommo isn't the right man'. I wouldn't call them completely unfair comments given the circumstances.

Yeah thats not a great look, good intentions but they are taking their eye off the ball if they are doing that

I want to retract my post re boys club i sincerely got that wrong i apologise for that .What we want to see now is a huge response from the boys against Norwood in 2 weeks .Like everyone i dont like losing but if the players give their all and have a red hot go every week and we are not good enough so be it .At least we know isnt through lack of effort .

Also can we get rid of this 'new recruits want to live near the beach' myth so wont play for us.

Elizabeth to Semaphore 29 minute drive
Prospect to Grange 20 minute drive
Norwood to West Beach 25 minute drive
Unley to Glenelg 22 minute drive

That is off google maps and they might not be the exact closest beach (im not a beach person) and yeah I know Semaphore isn't regarded as the greatest beach but deadest if ten minutes extra to live at the beach and get to training is the difference between a recruit coming or not then we are doing a hell of a lot wrong more than just our location.

Yep to see the league coach get on a make one borderline sarcastic reply to only one poster who to be fair didn't say anything to critical other than maybe the coach is out their depth (not unfair criticism given the fact the club has gone backwards in his first 20 games in charge and there is almost zero positives and no light at the end of tunnel in regards to how he wants us to play)

Seeing this social medias has ,made me more concerned for the future of our club than ever before.
