Ridiculously short. I’ll admit I had a crack at them at $5 preseason then got $8 after round 1, but even money in this comp? Pass…

Just keep rolling money into em. Better than bank interest.

Norwood 2 games plus percentage behind the Dogs with 6 to go and we are “even” with them.
What’s that saying about fools and money?

Yep, I haven’t been able to get on Glenelg since Round 5. Had to use different mates’ accounts.

Why would we want to merge with the Eagles if the Menzels aren't there! :D

Norwood and West are now out of comtention, given that they are 4 games out of the 5 with 4 games remaining, and the two teams on 7 wins (NA and CD) have 2 points to split between them in the penultimate round.

I wonder what odds will be offered for a Legs flag this week?

Similarly, Sturt and the Bays are now certs for September action. Even if Sturt lost all its remaining games, CD and NA can't both win all remaining games.

These odds highlight an issue that I think should be outlawed.
It is impossible for Norwood and West to now make the finals, therefore betting agencies should not be allowed to take bets on them,
They are both 4 games behind both North and Central with 4 games to go, but given that North still are to play Central neither Norwood nor West can make the five.

What if the NA v CD game was a draw?

Then they'll each earn a point, and West/Norwood still can't catch either of them.

Barring someone having points docked somehow, it's mathematically impossible for either West or Norwood to make finals. I agree that betting agencies should not lawfully be able to take bets on such outcomes.

Perhaps Norwood could arrange for North to field a 19th man this weekend.

That would be appropriate given that Norwood did it at the start of the last quarter of the 1982 Second Semi Final and didn't even get a fine.
Different times of course, but I always think of opposing coach, John Cahill's comment at the time, that he would hate to win a game by demanding a count.

Assuming Port Reserves finish 4th, whoever finishes 5th would have to play a port side able to play as many AFL listed players as they want, given the AFL side is in the finals. Correct or no?
