I'll take that as a compliment from you. If you're the expert in making a fool of yourself in public—please, the floor is yours.

Well done to the lads, all deserve their chance and in Jono Beech's case way overdue.

Four out of the players drafted are kids so they can be covered, other two will be much harder. In some cases we were lucky not to lose a few more IMO.

Need a tall defender badly now, maybe Klemke can develop into a full back.

I've gotta say I'm more than a little surprised for a club that finished top of the table in all 3 grades at end of minor round didn't have any players taken in national draft or rookie draft. I guess the bonus to all that is the Eagles keep a very strong list together going into 2016.

Well done to all the SANFL lads that got the opportunity to step up to the AFL level.

Any legs fans care to comment on this fella? He's the proverbial lump of a lad, can take a grab by the looks.

I'd be thanking my lucky stars if I were you.

I spotted him in a reserves game early in the season, maybe even round 1, and he really impressed me. Is going to lack height as a ruckman so I'd say the Hawks would hope to develop him into a KPP. Can take a grab and moves well, wouldn't surprise me if he had a basketball background. Great project player I'd think, who's about to learn from/with the best in the business.

Cheers JK- I'm thinking a possible Lake clone in a few years going on his brief highlights package.

A good get for South with Booming left-footer Tom Fields returning to Noarlunga and a local ruckman given a chance at SANFL footy...

Awesome for Beechy. Annoyed at the system and the fact he will play against us next year.

That's because the Eagles haven't got any players that would be any good at AFL level............

In response to the rumour and speculation about Lewis Johnston’s future at the NAFC, we would like to confirm the following.

After several meetings over the past couple of weeks with the Coach and management, Lewis has advised that he no longer wants to be part of the team at the NAFC. Lewis, as we know, has had a terrible 12 months with injury and has played very little football over the past few years. In addition, a week prior to pre-season training he broke his big toe playing basketball which disappointingly resulted in another period on the sidelines at this crucial time. As our supporters have rightfully demanded, there has been new standards and expectations set at the Club after a horrible season on field, and all players are required to commit fully to the program under Josh Carr. Lewis doesn’t wish to commit to this, and has indicated he prefers not to play. Lewis has not had his contract cut as rumours suggest, although he was invited in to have his contract discussed with the aim to remind him of his obligations to his Club and teammates off the field. In any case, this meeting never took place and is not the reason for him wanting to leave his teammates.
We all share the disappointment of this with our supporters, however be assured Lewis is a contracted, required player at this Club and therefore is not able to speak with any Clubs without our permission as he knows. We will continue to work with him on the issues he has as we know how talented he could be, but at the same time the new football program will not be compromised by any player who doesn’t want to buy in or play for the Club.

Can't read anything but massive sooky-la-la into that.

Interesting "meeting place".

Keep up the good work Meggsy.

Thank you

Yeah L.Johnston can't talk to any clubs  but clubs can/ will talk to North!
This shapes up in the usual way of him chasing $ probably out of the SANFL,
but half the comp. will have a crack for sure ie. Centrals, Norwood, South, Sturt & Glenelg.
Let the insanity and denials begin.....

If clubs do their due diligence then you might find the list of those wanting to talk less and less....

Looks like he likes to do what he wants and not what he is told.
