Great to see South's average crowd is up.

Given that 2 of our 3 home games have been against AFL reserves sides I'd like to think crowds will increase against other SANFL clubs.

I'm going to hasten a guess it has not dropped as much as the over all attendances have. Purely a guess.

At the risk of ridicule & whilst it is true that I am no English Teacher, isn't the term "... hazard a guess"?
Unless of course you are making a 'quick' guess, perhaps?

Ridicule,why would anyone ridicule you?

Cows games down 43%. Novelty factor didn't last long or even more people of opposition clubs are turned off watching them. Awful experiment gone very wrong.

Went to my 2nd game of SANFL since the occupation began, both at Richmond due to my lad playing mini league. The footy wasn;t too bad but the atmosphere is just above a funeral...speaking of which average age of attendees would be over 55, its going to take something massive to turn this boat around, its sinking.

Agree

I don't care what number the SANFL produces for the Central v South game but I won't believe there was anything more than 1100 at absolute most!!!

1588 at Richmond yesterday, we've had some good crowds there over the years too. I know it was the first time I'd missed a game in years there simply because of my disenchantment with the comp.

Terrible crowds. Wouldnt of been 10 Crows supporters at Norwood Friday night and 2000 at Alberton is a disgrace for two so called traditional powerhouses

Can't disagree re Crows supporters; my partner and I made up two of them; we had another one next to us. Be struggling to find another seven. Even allowing for that we were actually pleasantly surprised at the turn out given the weather in the lead up. Yep 2038 at Alberton is poor and really surprised me as the commentary was talking the crowd up as healthy.

I think Friday night games about 3-4k is the base crowd for home support. Glenelg and Crows travelling support hasnt been great the last 2 weeks, will be interesting to see how many Panfers rock up this week

C'mon mate, you're not in a position to judge how intelligent I may or may not be, you don't even know me. For all you know I could be a rocket surgeon.

I was just noting there'd be no reason, none whatsoever for anyone to ridicule you.

Now, I'm off to a sit in. I'll be back later.

9422 attended the 5 matches in Round 6, for a dismal average of just 1884.

Port (down 34%), Westies, Eagles and South home crowds have taken the biggest hit so far in 2015 (admittedly working off a small sample size). Norwood the only club to see an increase in home attendances.

Lets face it, can't blame Port or Crows supporters for not turning up to watch their clubs reserves .. How many of us would go regularly to watch only our reserves (ie, with no main game following)?

Using Friday nights figure at the Parade should make the SANFL more concerned about WTF Glenelg's support is at .. 200 more to their game in MUCH better weather does bode well.
