Having the Eagles v Crows up against the Crows on TV was sheer lunacy. Im surprised they got as many as they did.
Probably tbe Crows request too as theyd be more interested in having their reserves play earlier rather than get crowds to games.

Panthers by 44 points over the Chooks, Port Magoos by 10 goals over Sturts (I think, according to the SANFL website its still 27:52 in the last quarter, and has been for about 10 minutes).

I'd hate to be on the receiving end of a postcard from Keith "hooray for everything" Conlon tonight. Both his beloved Crows (seniors) and Sturts went goalless for over a quarter and lost by 10 goals this weekend, and to multiply his personal tragedy his other beloved Crows (Magoos) also lost yesterday. The horror, the horror. So many favourite sides, so much carnage.

Goal Kickers: B. Haren 3, S. Overall 2, N. Liddle, N. Schwarz, A. Hunter, C. Fairlie, D. Bass, J. Mc Mahon, X. Gotch, R. Barnes
Best Players: N. Schwarz, X. Gotch, B. Haren, N. Liddle, M. Rose, A. Hunter

Workman-like win. Nothing too flashy, except for a quick 4 goal burst in the third term that proved pivotal. Dull game in the first half but opened up after the break.

North's skills are deplorable. Darrou named their best against his former club.

4-1 heading into the bye has probably exceeded preseason expectations.

Totally agree wedgetail
Adelaide also need to learn the sanfl rules on deliberate out of bounds was funny watching Scot Thompson handball out get called and then argue or complain to the umpire .
Not sure what I expected from Adelaide they didn't seem to really be there mentally

It's not 'deliberate out of bounds' but more 'last possession'.

Well it was right in front of me he handballed the ball over the line
It went past crow players and landed over the line
Umpire blew the whistle Eagles free
Then Thompson argued with the umpire which very well could have been 25
Whatever it was it went out untouched
Surely any player in the SANFl should know that's a free kick to the other team
Too bad he is an AFL listed player

Isn't the last touch only if the ball is kicked out of bounds not handballed. The umpire must have just signalled deliberate. Not sure of the incident. I don't worry about umpires. Most of the time they do a good job.
