Ravens usually check out on Prelim day. They have flights booked the Mon after prelim

Genuine question, are the Crows players 'working' for free after this weekend. I presume they are on an annual salary based on the amount of games in the AFL which also includes bonuses (none of which would revolve around playing SANFL)
Good on them for checking out come finals, i would as well, im not a volunteer at my work place.

Only prob I have with Crows not going as far as they can "properly", is that it is luck of the draw for SANFL clubs. in playing them strong and get knocked out, or playing them weak and winning.

'free pass' if you get them in the prelim

Same applies during the regular season.

My feeling is that in finals, when their main show is over, there may be more engineered "injuries" to the AFL listed players, since their interest is elsewhere. ie dont want to get injured for transfer reasons. Time will tell

For the first time since 1984, and the second time ever (I think), both of last year's grand finalists have missed the finals.

Port won in the flag in ‘81 and played finals in ‘82.

another grub yep is it the crows or the player managers for the AFL players . Iirc talk in the past if the crows or port were not in the AFL finals these players were told don’t play SANFL finals in case you get traded or drafted .

I have the list for the Crows, not for Port. Crows players qualified are:
Sam Berry
Kieran Strachan
Hugh Bond
James Borlase
Tyler Brown
Brayden Cook
Matt Crouch
Billy Dowling
Lachlan Gollant
Will Hamill
Jackson Hately
Elliott Himmelberg*
Mark Keane
Andrew McPherson*
Luke Nankervis
Tariek Newchurch
Patrick Parnell
Harry Schoenberg
Zac Taylor*
*=already ruled out through injury. Schoenberg likely to be ruled out due to an achilles injury during the game against West Coast.

Obvious and anticipated retort coming..............
shouldn't have Power or Crows players in the side.
