I'll sssaaaaaayyy iiittt sslllowwwlyy

I never noticed that the scoreboard was incorrect all day..someone give me some evidence. Were you there today too whufc?

And yeah, I'm sure dedja feels like a BIG man now. I hope he's not a Dad.

Purch... I was there &;

1st 1/4... score incorrect, my 10 yr old son told our group that 4 x 6 plus 4 doesn't = 32!!!

Then... there appeared to be a lack of "7s" in the 3rd 1/4!!!

BTW... do most time clocks only go to 30:00 mins?

13 yrs old or not, the CLUB has a responsibility to EMPLOY an individual or number of individuals to WORK & PERFORM correctly... agreed, not the kids fault he can't add up, society's perhaps?

I'll say it once more. Get over criticising 13 year old volunteers.

If it really detracted from your day out then do something about it (fat chance). Enjoy your win.

Great things today Goldsworthy and Cheep proved their worth.Luke Jarrad down back although he coughed up a couple of goals performed that quarter back game to almost perfection.Luke Powell continues on his way to a good season.cica was playing like a teenager .Lewis was down on last week but still almost had the goal of the day/year.
Grieger as I was told by West fans would hold Chambers and he did.
Maca is working himself into form after an interrupted pre season.
But lets talk about Grocke .His 100th league game (not as stated by the abc 100th for the eagles) and he certainly played at times like a man possessed. And in that last quarter that dribbling goal could almost be goal of the year.

So in the end the eagles played like they were the number 1 team in the comp .That's right they are at present the number 1 team in the comp
And yes Mickyj almost lost his voice yelling for his eagles today.
WHUFC that bet of yours must be looking good right now ;)

Yep just hoping for a good South victory tommorrow.

Like I said, you blokes won and all you can come up with is an attack on the time clock and the scoreboard attendant.

Aerie wrote:A terrific game of footy. The polar opposite to last week's game (thanks Nathan) and exactly how footy should be played.

The Eagles came out really switched on and two early goals came of it. Sturt found their feet not long after though and by quarter time the scores were just about level - 5 goals each. Sturt's most dominant period of the game was the first 10-15 minutes of the 2nd quarter, but the Eagles were able to hold steady and ended up in front by about two goals at half time.

The 3rd quarter was much of the same with the Eagles able to continue to pressure Sturt and get a handy lead of about 3 goals at 3 quarter time. The last quarter was most impressive from an Eagles point of view, extending the lead out to 8 goals and running out the game very well despite missing Leigh Treeby since quarter time.

It was hard to pick out best players. It really was a team effort. Jarrad, Broadbent, Goldsworthy and Miles were terrific. Cheep bobbed up with 4 goals. Welsh and Rowntree got into the game as it wore on and Grocke played a good 100th game. Crane was outstanding in the first half for Sturt, but in the end it was the solid contribution of the 20 Eagles players that saw a fairly comfortable victory and a handy percentage boost against what should be a team that is pushing top 3.

Lets be honest, you're a spud.

We may be spuds NFC but who's team is top and who's team isn't ;)

Micky, did you ask mum and dad if you can use the computer this late?

I may have read some reviews in between, but I could be wrong. I think I said something about the match too; feel free to point it out to me. And there seemed to be other clubs fans having a say too, but don't get the facts spoiling the party.

Great win today
Could say all played well
Reckon the best players awards would have been extremely difficult to do.

Really enjoyed the hardness of the game some great tackles and lots of chasing done.

The scoreboard was correct at every quarter break - goal umpires not needed plus was correct re goals and behinds just the total points out a few times for a few seconds or so - too busy watching and enjoying the spectacle of a really good game to watch the board too much.

Thought almost 2500 was excellent crowd given against AFL at AAMI and on the telly.

Well done to Jai tossing the coin - good luck to the lad

Nice post cd. Some others could learn a lot from your expression of enjoyment of the game and your humbleness. Congratulations to Jai indeed! Well done young lad! Enjoy your win cd. I hope we get you back next time :)

Saw Jai tonight, he was still beaming, we showed him the tape of him on TV. Interesting part is he was in Sturt gear today, ran out with the players and tossed the coin, but his Mum is a Eagles fan!

As for the scoreboard here is a photo from last week, there were some errors, but never really mattered. Could be an issue if wrong in the last 1/4 when close though. Id be surprised if he was a volunteer as PhilH said even at Amateur level they get paid.

I'd be surprised if he was a volunteer. Can't see a 13 year old lad giving up his Sat afternoons for nothing.
