North aren't the first team to get a belting at Elizabeth first up - although admittedly not in the last handful of years.

The positive would be the press that didn't let Centrals out of their defensive zone for the first 10 mins. Who knows, if a couple of early opportunities were taken early on, it could have been much closer.

Surely you have to give Carr some time to gel the team?

With no initial reward from effort and against good opposition it fell apart. But it's a starting point.

so what u r saying is that after no reward they gave up. Perhaps if they had manned up against Habel who had something like 15 clearances from the back line in the 1st half, things may have been a tad better, sides need to realise he is the go to-link man and man up against him, he is a too gooda player to let run wild as North did today

North's on ball division actually looks good, the defence looks better than I feared but I still think North lack goal kicking options.

I obviously over rated the on ball division and defence but it was the forward line where much of the problems started. Central won the inside 50s 47 to 41, not a huge difference there but the quality of ball to the forwards was certainly classes apart. North might as well have played witches hats as forwards, they would have been more threatening. North have to bring in James Craig to ruck and play Alex Barns up forward otherwise there is no way North will kick 10 goals in a game this year. I expect Lewis Johnston to outscore North next week.

Josh Carr punched himself in the face for the last 10 minutes of the game to Teach Lewis Johnson fans the reality.

Long term goal sacrifice beats short term gain any days ist askMeggsy.

If anyone thinks LJ left because he isn't a selfish prick you have no idea just watch today's game as proof.

Crowd 7817. What a load of bullshit. 3,500 4,000 MAXIMUM I seriously don`t know where they keep pulling these figures from.
Hats of to the Dogs, they were too good today, but to be honest there really wasn`t much opposition.
Long season for the cocks, AGAIN.

Why is it the roosters keep winning junior grade matches but when these young guys get to league level they can't kick?
Delivery to the forwards year in and year out is pathetic.
Maybe we need coaches at the under age level to teach them to hand pass and kick.
Remember Jack Oatey if you can't kick you can't play.
Worth some thought.

Ok , someone got carried away. 4.5K at Elizabeth and just under 4K at Noarlunga. Both very good crowds and vindication of the decision to play on Good Friday.
Maybe it was the multiple times they scanned my season ticket (to no avail - who could have predicted that) which inflated the figures.

Wundke took a pack mark at the end of the first quarter to score the only goal from a tall player for the match. He spent a lot of the game in defence.

Harvey was very disappointing and North had no other tall forwards.
