Fisher, Mouse... the first of many?

Speaking to an un-named source formerly close the club it seems the knives are out at Brighton Road.

Formerly close :?

Fisher has retired due to chronic injury/pain. Was a credit to himself and the medical staff down at the Bay he actually played ANY game this year.
Mouse ? Close to retirement age. If he moves on, farewell to a club great. Hopefully he hangs around for another year.

The first of many ?

Yep this usually happens at every club. Blokes leave and blokes come back. That's Football.....

2 players, one with chronic knees and the other allegedly, not playing next year is an implosion???

U18's and Reserves Premiers and League 3rd ... mmmm, might have some depth at the club to cover 2 possible loses.

Can a mod please move this to the Best Jokes forum please.

Add in possibly Cranston and Block along with some senior reserves players, the almost certain "moving on" of Douglas.... and I'd suggest that its certainly not all roses!

Someone emailed 5AA last week claiming it was all turning sour behind the scenes at the Bay and players weren't happy, walking out blah, blah, blah. Rowey flat out denied a couple of the rumours but was pretty coy at Backwell IIRC.

They've finished top 3 the last 2 years which doesn't sound like a club that's imploding.

Is there a group out there with a scuttle-but agenda?

Not when i heard him speak about Mouse, he straight out said he was a required player and that the rumour he wasn't playing on is wrong.

Cranny always decides after the season. He's not getting younger, just married, he'd like to return home, so anything is possible.
Block has shot groins, so whether the medical staff can get his up for another season.

Senior reserves players. Yep life and part. Looking forward to the U18's kids taking the step up.....

I just find the fact that Fisher, Block, Cranston, Holmes, McConnell and Duldig are almost certain "outs" quite disturbing. Sugars gone... other players contemplating their future.

Then you add in the "mess" surrounding Backwell... and it just doesnt all seem right down at Brighton rd.

AND Let alone the fact they'd lower themselves to get a bloke who couldnt run a development group down at South to take over the ressies... it all seems a bit murky.

Fisher / Block chronic injuries. Nothing disturbing there. McConnell is shot physically. Holmes missing all year. Cranston always has thoughts about returning home. Duldig should've been given a shot, and if he gets a shot playing A's elsewhere can't begrudge him that. Sugars didn't push for a spot in the A's all season, and he's well behind blokes like Kellock, O'Grady, McGregor, Hitchcock, Clayfield in getting a game anyhow.

Mouse unfortunately always had issues re his contract at seasons end. Lets see how it finishes up.

Don't forget last season the Bays lost Bode, Sherwood & Rudolph and everyone thought the world would cave in.....
