All but confirms the SANFL won't be on the ABC next year as they have a policy against naming commercial sponsors so IGA if they want to get any sort of value out of this sponsorship certainly know something we don't

Doesn't make any difference, they've shown many sports that have sponsors with league naming rights, currently they televise the Westfield W-League.
But yeah the SANFL wont be on the ABC next year regardeless.

I know and women's sport is different as the ABC are required in their charter to show x amount of women's sport (hence broadcasting WNBL games over NBL) but what I meant was IGA would be expecting a certain amount of exposure for this something they know they wouldn't have gotten on the ABC.

I don't have any issue with a naming rights sponsor for the competition. But the name chosen is a little bizarre. As most have said on here The IGA SANFL would have made more sense.

I prefer the SANFIGAL... that eliminates the double up on 'league'
