Anyone changed allegiances or anyone new to the site/SANFL forum to show their support for the crows reserves?

Will games involving the crows reserves be void of atmosphere?

Seriously interested in responses from those out there barracking for them.

Cheers

It would be criminal if people left their SANFL side to support the crows reserves. I hope no one has done it.

Wouldn't surprise, after all look how many crows/power supporters deserted their original VFL/AFL clubs in 1991 & 1997......

Bit different when you have local sides you can support and go and watch in that same competition. Cant compare that. You can understand people supporting Power or Crows over their VFL side when they came in.
But.... what I wouldn't accept is these AFL sides coming in and people dumping their SANFL side to support them. Please don't do it. I don't think anyone has. Can anyone post if you have dumped your SANFL side to support the crowettes.

I would have thought most stayed loyal to their original VFL side.

If you are in SA and the Crows / Power came into the VFL its only common sense to support the local side which you can go and watch and plenty of people did it. I have no doubt plenty still have stayed supporting their VFL side however. I know of plently that do.
As to what percentage or what ever I would have no idea

I doubt anyone who has read the sentiments on this forum would hang around to identify themselves as a Crows SANFL supporter and then join in the general conversations!

You'd probably get a warmer welcome strolling into the Vatican an announcing yourself as a lifelong Atheist!

That's nowhere near a valid enough reason IMHO.

Yes I can.

No, for the life of me I can't. What does that say about said supporters?

It says they have a local side they can go and watch and support in that competition that was based in melboure. You wouldn't hang someone for that

If they changed their loyalties purely because of geography then yes.
Definately no excuses for people that lived in a place like Port Lincoln for example.

I have always followed Adelaide in the AFL and Sturt in the SANFL, my allegiances will always be with Sturt.
I was thinking about getting an Adelaide membership a couple of years ago leading into the move to AO as I live in walking distance to the ground, in the end I couldn't validate doing so as it would mean a full weekend of going to the footy as I'll always go to Sturt games when I can....the girlfriend wouldn't be happy basically so I canned it and I'm glad I did. I've pretty well given up on AFL now because of all the bull$hit that goes with it. The lies, scandals, hype and total lack of credibility as a true sporting competition and it's total lack of direction in the future.
Unfortunately this has now spread to the SANFL more than ever with the advent of AFL reserves. I'm getting prepared to totally giving up on footy in the next five years if we keep going the way we are headed.

Was going to add it but then I remembered Diss has attacked pics to them so I might stuff it up.

Fair enough too. Certainly wouldn't be the first person to have allegiances with two AFL clubs.

I was a Carlton supporter until the Crows came in - mainly due to the very strong Glenelg connection, which was the reason I supported Carlton in the VFL.

Due to that same strong Glenelg connection, I am supporting the Crows in the SANFL also.

It's all very logical, if you don't look at it on a shallow basis.

Because most of use were passive supporters of teams in the VFL. It was the Victorian comp.
It's a bit like when I am told that I should hate Collingwood, I don't get it - they are just another Melbourne team, I hate Port Adelaide.

I do always laugh at those former Collingwood supporters who jumped on to the Power and now "hate" them.

So you'll be supporting the Crows SANFL team against Glenelg?
