Think the SANFL and most footy pundits wanted to avoid referrals to a "reserves team" because they think it potentially demeans our competition

another sign the SANFL has died

its been called state league on and off for years. not sure what the issue is with that. it IS a state league is it not? I will agree with you that I havent really heard the crows mention it as their SANFL team, it is always their state league team, but given they are functionally the same thing im not sure what the issue with that is?

Why are they so ashamed to call it their reserves side?
The Melbourne clubs have no problem calling their VFL sides their ressies

Fair point tbh. Probably moreso because of the magpies dilemma than the crows I would think. If the crows called it their reserves team then more attention wound be placed on the fact that's what the magpies are now.

I would suggest it is deliberate that they don't call it their reserves team, as others have mentioned

I'd be interested in hearing how many Adelaide supporters were at the Bay and or supporters wearing both Adelaide and Glenelg clobber. It seems that most Adelaide games have been poorly attended by their supporters.

From personal experience, as a centrals and crows supporter that doesn't see too many centrals games, I made sure the the crows centrals game was probably one of my couple sanfl games for the year.

I'm sure the crows/glenelg supporters come out of the woodwork too. I know of at least a few straight crows supporters that went down to see tex but I'm sure it brings a lot of dual supporters out.

Pretty hard to tell, we where a lot louder, the only time i heard crows fans say anything was when Walker got near it. Maybe 50/50 but i'd say maybe half of the crows supporters where also bays fans

Everyone keeps banging on about the crowd, if Tex was playing for Norwood Friday night there would have been as much if not more, so not sure its just cause of the Crows....
