Norwood playing some very impressive football, again, while Sturt have improved dramatically on recent seasons...

This will be a ripper contest between the two Eastern Suburbs rivals...

If Norwood can limit the ball to Coad and Duldig they should win.

Norwood have lost at all the bigger grounds this year. No joy at Elizabeth , Woodville, Adelaide, Norlunga, Alberton ovals.

Going to be hard for Sturt to win this, we always struggle to overcome the flooding, dour football of Norwood and West. We have some players that are woefully out of form and some that just don't seem interested in doing the hard yards.

Seasoned finalists v Team on the rise
Last round big winners v Last round losers
Late season form v early season form
Eastern suburb v Southern suburb often misquoted as being Eastern
Team that we hope will beat Port next week on behalf of all that is truly SANFL V Team that we hope will beat Port next week on behalf of all that is truly SANFL

Lots to like, think Norwood start as favourites in a game (like all SANFL finals this year) that could go either way. Norwood the safer bet, but Sturt probably good value at the odds.

Panos would be a big out for Norwood if he doesn't come up, especially with Jimmy Allan already out. Norwood have plenty of depth but they are 2 elite midfielders to cover.

Norwood going in unchanged, Reinbrecht and Evans unlucky in my opinion.

Beard and Hinge named as ins.
I'd drop Taggert, the other out is hard to pick.
If both Beard and Hinge come up it allows Bartlett, Crocker and Krause to push further up the field.
Hard to pick our final lineup.

Odd that Norwood would name an unchanged lineup. Even if that is how you were planning to start, surely you at least name 2 more on the bench like you are entitled to and keep opposition guessing. That makes it either a clever double bluff to claim a late injury replacement or a really arrogant approach. Being Norwood it could be either of those options.

Norwood often names only 21. In any case, with the reserves playing at 1130 and the 18s after that, there is plenty of time for Sturt to become aware if any late changes transpire.

If Beard plays then I think its McLeay to miss out. Unfortunately he is not quick enough these days.
