Looks to be a reasonable strong squad.

As always, there appears to be a number of players who have been chosen based on last year's form rather than anything they have done this season.

Very happy to see Lachlan Mcgregor chosen in the squad and a well-deserved selection. A couple of years ago he was playing country footy after things (somehow) didn't work out with Glenelg. For whatever reason, his form has been exceptional in his second crack at SANFL league footy with the Eagles. Makes you wonder how many other similar young players are playing bush footy who have the talent to make it at SANFL league level.

Is this the SANFL rep side or the State League rep side?
Judging by Adelaide media we have two comps ATM

Western Australia's squad, though Bradd Dalziell from East Fremantle is an 'out':

I think the SA squad looks very strong but Lathlain Park is a big ground and if WA can get a good run-and-spread game going it could be an interesting contest. I'm really looking forward to it.

Of the Black Swans' players I think Ryan Davis, Ashton Hams, Marlon Pickett, Andrew Stephen and Shane Yarran are keys.

There is no TV

There may be a web stream on the WAFL web site ... will advise next week.

I'd recommend they play. Good chance for them to play in a winning side.

That's just wrong. Didn't ABC show the game last year?

Only because it was still covering the VFL then. They are no longer doing so.

McGuire Media, who run the coverage for Channel 7, both here and in the WAFL and VFL now, only signed contracts for X amount of games...

This amount did not take into account an extra game, ie, this State Game...

I am led to believe that if, between the SANFL and WAFL, $20K could be raised to cover the production costs, then it could have been covered...

That hasn't eventuated, unfortauntely, as I can appreciate the respective league would be watchign their finances and this potential spend would not have been budgeted for...

But, never fear - there will still be coverage of the game back into South Australia...

Radio Station LifeFM are heading over and the game will be called on 107.9 LifeFM from 3:00pm (SA time) as the game starts at 3:45pm SA time...

PLUS...

There will be a LIVE video stream of the game, being produced by the West Australian Football Commision, that will be available from their website...

I was heading over there for the game, anyway, and have been lucky enough to be asked to commentate (as the SA 'expert') with former ABC caller Glenn Mitchell. I am very excited about getting to work with Glenn...

As soon as I know more, in regards to the link for the stream and times, I will post accordingly...

Yes, it is not on LIVE mainstream TV but both a radio and video stream is better than no coverage, at all...

And I'd imagine Ch7 did not want to do this match because it has nothing to do with AFL listed players (i.e. while they show premiership matches not involving AFL teams, it's part of a comp that does have them).

Perhaps the crows and power should share the costs to have it broadcast.....

Why would they televise it, minimal peole care. Another unneccesary interruption to the season that's already going backwards.

I'd watch it. It would be my best chance of seeing a black and gold team win this year.
