From the 2018 Broadcast thread pick the SANFL commentators you enjoy listening to.

Select as many as you like.

In the thread rank your top 5 in order.

My top 5
1st : Don Cooper
2nd : John Casey
3rd : John Nankivell
4th : Phil Aspinall
5th : Chris Kendall

All of them know their stuff and are passionate SANFL callers.

John Casey is the only one I really enjoy because of his professionalism but I do commend the others for trying, I do wish it was more like the good old days when people needed a decent voice to get into radio/commentary though.

Not seen CH7 or ABC so can’t really comment

Both Phil’s are very good and know their Sanfl, as does CK and J Nankevill

Personally I applaud anyone trying to bring Sanfl footy to a wider audience.

Michael Maney and Neil Cross for the main commentators, they are excellent and Chris Kendall as well.

Cannot stand John Casey on 7 now who spends more time having a chit chat with Tim Ginever than actually commentating the play.

My point exactly ! Not sure how people dont understand that . The whole " oh its better than nothing " excuse is irrelevant. The majority of SANFL "commentators" are good at special comments , which means you dont have to commentate. I have admiration for some of you giving it a crack. Its an area the SANFL need to get right as it not a good look . I know that will ruffle a few feathers but if we are trying to attract people then it has to sound good.
