Yep Graham will be an asset this year, son of a Hawk gun... but its another AFL son-of that I am thinking is in for a great season. Jackson Kelly was very good today with 3 goals and lots of tough in close work.

Just my luck the only time I don't go to a trial game we win.

Happy for the win though. Would someone please post a picture of match program with the player numbers. Thank you.

pretty disappointing result at Noarlunga for South fans.
Centrals were very fast and hard at it, they will be a lot better than most think this year. I didnt have a program but No.11 for Centrals was pretty impressive, almost as impressive as his mullet.
South "managed" Horne, Heaslip, McGree and Broadbent. I thought youngsters, Sampson and Freitag were pretty good and new chum Skinner showed a bit as well.

Freitag was impressive. Very good skills and Skinner will be an asset.

Number 11 for the Dogs was the aforementioned Tom Graham, son of Hawks 200 gamer Mark. Joined us mid 2020, only recently converted from basketball.

The Central supporters might be happy to know Dan Menzel kicked 4.2 against the Crows yesterday. In fairness it was a very depleted Crows team. :D

when was the last time we scored over 100 points in any game

Probably a rhetorical question I realise but, yeah, they've been the proverbial rocking horse poop of recent years.

I figured that "in any game" was probably intended to include, to quote, "6 quarter game(s) ;)" (extended trials) over the past few years.

Not sure about the latter but the last time for points goes back to R4, 2018. The last time against a proper SANFL side was three weeks before that against North at home.

Sturt ran 2 squads through the game, played 44 or 45 players I think, Port played 23.

Big bloke for Sturt at full forward looks an imposing figure, will make some big defenders look small.

I always think that this is a strange way to talk about SANFL Crows/Power. After all, they are just leftovers and fill ins: they dont really have a team as such. And whoever plays is dictated by the needs of the AFL side.

Noticed Roberts was back in the u18's for South on Sunday, has he not handled the step up to senior footy?

I'm pretty sure the subtext of goddy's post was a little more loaded than just the strength of that particular lineup. Thus, more of a wasted effort than a strange one. :)

We are more than happy with their replacements: Grant and Graham.
Cheers

Coupla different people I've spoken to, both with plenty of experience and longtime SANFL ties, spoke very highly of the Dogs after both the Norwood and South games. Said they're fast, committed, fit and willing and will catch a few teams out this season.
